Texas Desert Golf
Course was wide open, no starter, hole signage was scant got confused about where to go. All in all not to bad. I would play here again if I lived here.
Great El Paso course
You need to put this course on your must play list!
Great evening round
Course was not busy. Teed off around 5:15pm. Played solo and finished all 18 without any issue. Course was in good shape. Greens were a little burnt on a few holes. Fairways were dry but in good shape. Got tons of roll from the tee, greens held well just a tad firm.

Great fun course - you think you hit a great drive - and you find it in waste bunker - this course keeps you thinking - we really enjoyed it.
Expect to pay more than what is advertised
Was disappointed at price. I reserved tee time and price online. When I arrived to play I was charged almost $10 more than reservation. When I brought it up attendant he didn’t have a response.
Not what it used to be.
Course conditions not what they used to be a couple of years ago. It feels overpriced now because the course is in mediocre shape.
Very Nice track
This was my 3rd time playing here, and each time has been great. Make sure to select the proper tee-box for your handicap. Yardage book was very helpful. Even in January the course was great (weather was perfect: 64 degrees and no wind). Greens were in excellent shape. Clubhouse was friendly, and grill had excellent food and service.
Winter Beauty
Fazio transformed this desert land into an oasis of golf. The course is absolutely beautiful. Similar looks as Shadow Creek in Las Vegas. Undulating fairways, raised greens, and deep bunkers characterize the course in true Fazio fashion. The course was dormant this December round but tee boxes and greens were green. My oh my were the greens rolling fast and true as well. Great conditioning. Course plays long, so do yourself a favor and move up a box. Width isn’t a problem off the tee, but beware if you are out of place a well placed swale will block your view on the next shot. Just simply go play before something happens to this course. It’s worth the stop if driving through, or even the trip to as a destination play.
Butterfield
Excellent layout with challenges for every golfer with four sets of tee boxes. Recently plugged greens are nearing great condition which should make for a very good autumn season.
Excellent Course!
Booked a hot deal through golf now for around 35. Was a little disappointed when I found out they had just punched and sanded the greens a few days prior. However the front desk was very friendly and gave my brother and I each 10 dollar coupons to use in the pro shop. The course was in really good shape and would highly recommend once the greens heal up in a few weeks. The tee boxes were flat which was great. Most were being prepped for overseeding so the grass was mostly dead but did not bother us one bit. Fairways were in execellent shape. Bunkers lacked some sand and played more like a desert hazard in some cases which didn’t bother us considering it’s a desert course. Played from the tips but for 7,300+ yards it did not feel extremely long. Enjoyed the lay out and design of the course tremendously. For the value it was an amazing course!
First Timer
I loved the course! It's hard to disconnect my performance (poor) from the course itself....but I really liked the course and will surely play it again.
I booked my time on GolfNow but found out I overpaid!!! The host in the proshop fixed it and saved me $25. That was the first of many pleasant surprises. The course was wide open at 9:30 on a Monday morning and I was playing alone. I didn't catch anyone till about the 7th hole then I slowed down and enjoyed the view. It's pretty open for an errant tee shot, but if you go beyond the normal slice or hook, you could have a lost ball or an unplayable lie in the mesquite bush. Greens were very good. Cold water available at several locations. Highly recommended!
Pleasant Surprise
I didn’t expect to love this course but it’s actually a pretty great track. Fazio has a tendency to drastically overpower land while moving loads and loads of earth to force his routing on a piece of land....that was not the case here. Fazio did a splendid job of working with the land and weaving his routing in and out of natural desert mounding and dunes.
This course does a phenomenal job of blending in short par 4s with absolute brutes, as well. I pulled 2I as many times as I pulled driver today and he does a great job of inviting the player to take challenging and aggressive lines off the tee. The conditioning was superb.
Easily the best course within a 400 mile radius in the non-Lajitas category. It’s a seemingly random spot for a Fazio (aka non resort) and because the course is owned by the airport you can get some awesome pricing for a Top-5ish in Texas public course.
