Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

Course starter had excellent customer service skills.
Nice day for a golf outing. Course was in good shape. Played with an excellent group of golfers. Would recommend other golfers play the course. Course was an excellent challenge.
Great Course for the Money
Played the course twice in 3 days. Excellent course for the money. Challenging with a surprising amount of water. Staff was extremely hit or miss. Had some very friendly and helpful people but also had some very disappointing interactions with the staff as well.
On our second round we had 5 groups on hole 8 and play was very slow. The course needs to stop allowing locals to play in 5 somes and as singles if they want visitors to play
Wet and wild
Cold windy and wet not the best day to play a round any where. But we had the course to our self. Only one lonely golfer on the course. Course was difficult to tell where to hit your tee shot with water and sand lurking everywhere.
Another senior moment
My wife , her friend and I really enjoyed this course. The course is in great shape and is very challenging. I am a senior and played from the white tees. Probably a mistake because the course played much longer than the score card yardage. I should have played from the senior tees, even though I am a very long hitter. I had some 3 wood approach shots of over 200 yards to par 4 breeds. Despite this I really enjoyed the challenge and would definitely play it again.
Love this course
I am a regular golfer and being that my friends a family consider me a decent golfer. I tend to love this course and its layout. I am very big on the Scottish layout of this course. The way that it played is long but the bounce of the course makes it very manageable if you hit your shots where you mean to. The course is very well up kept and managed very nicely. Excellent course for the money.
course is vry challenging
Definitely not a course for a beginner golfer . It has fantastic views . Most of the staff was very pleasant , but some were obviously displeased that we were there on a "special" , which we booked on golfnow.com .
Great course bad staff in pro shop
Upon arrival to the pro shop for check in, we made the clerk aware it was our first visit. They were very to the point and not at all welcoming. We were then directed to a cart area, where we waited for ten minutes for someone to get a cart for us. The cart staff was rude. We then went to the "starter" who was the nicest person we encountered. He tried to put my wife and I in front of 16 daily money players - those players basically refused and talked down to the starter horribly. My wife and I had planned on a nice day of golf together, but we were paired with a couple "pro's" which is not great for the average golfer looking to have fun. The 16 money guys in front of us held up play all day, turning what is typically 3-1/2 to four hours into 5 or more. Super nice scenic course but bad attitudes! Glad we played it due to the scenery. Once was great, mostly likely our first and last time.
Very nice course
Good every day course. Wide fairways and some tough holes that give it a good balance. It has housing on each fairway but they do not come into play. A couple of the fairways are a little close to each other but no real problem. I will play it again when in the area.
Return told home course
The greens were spotty in places. Fivesomes are allowed here and it really slows the pace of play. Very little shade and slower play came back to my memory as to why I let my membership go. Overall, still a fun course and wind is the great equalizer here. Worth a play but expect it to be a long day.......
Water on most holes but generous fairways
My son and I played this course for the first time Sunday. We would have played it again Monday if the morning tee times had not all been take. The course was in good shape, including the greens, which some other courses in the area have struggled with. Fourteen holes have water, and #5 has an island green, which we had not played before. Yes, we both lost a ball in the water there, but it was still fun! My son shot an 84, his best round ever, which added to our enjoyment.
Husband & wife play well together
Carol & I had a great time on the golf course. It seemed like we could always see the flag & our shots were good accordingly. The pace was good even though we followed a slow foursome & a threesome that tended to play the entire course. We'll be back.

Course in very good shape. Challenging and thought provoking.Be careful to avoid penalties and take extra balls.
Glorious Day
Course layout, fairways, bunkers, rough all in fine shape. Greens were puttable but not up to the Standard they PORTRAY of themselves. Putting practice green had a huge fungus on it and driving range was not open yet for or 748am tee time. We did enjoy our day, but Greens bumpy, slow and need some work.
Interesting layout with several cool holes.
Tiger Point East is the only one in use due to hurricanes and $ I imagine. The practice green and driving range are not awesome but they do resemble what you can expect to see our on the course. Greens were bumpy but decent and rolled ok and consistently. They are a course Bermuda, maybe tiff dwarf or mini verda but not champion bermuda- which I don't care for. Fairways are also decent with multiple fairway bunkers that can be played from easily. Green side bunkers have different sand in color and texture so you'll have to adjust your technique depending as necessary. Several holes are really cool and plenty long from the blue tees, 18 for example. I have 175-200 in after a decent drive of 250-280. Fun stuff and a good course for less than $40.
If you like water it's for you
Course was in good shape except for a few greens that have some damage. Water in play on about 13 of the holes makes it challenging. An enjoyable day but hot! Bring lots of liquids.
Somewhat disappointing
I found some of the par fours to be a bit boring. If the breeze is up, it get much more difficult, with some holes on the sound.
Overrated
Heard a lot of good things from the locals, but with the exception of the young lady on the beverage cart, the young men who loaded and unloaded the clubs, and the overpriced Taylor Made rental clubs I got for my son to use, this course was a waste of time and money. After purchasing our condo here in Pensacola, I have gone on the search for a local course, but believe me, the search is certainly not going to end with Tiger Point...
Nice Course
Great course for the money. Has a great layout and is in very good shape currently. The course is under new management and will only get better. Play this course, you won't be disappointed
