Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

Bad greens
The course overall has been in decline. Much worse than the last time I played. Both fairways and greens were in really bad shape. But the price was about right!!
PaulTiger90
Course was decent with easy access from Pensacola Beach. First several holes were in average condition with those deeper into the round in much better shape on the fairways. Greens rolled fairly for having been punched and holes filled with sand.
We were disappointed with initial contact with staff in the pro shop. After walking up to the counter neither staff member acknowledged us even coming in. After about a minute, the staff did look at us but did not have a friendly demeanor at all. We paid for our round but had to ask for additional direction to our carts and the first tee. Interactions with additional staff on the course was pleasant however.
Course layout was nice and will be better in the coming weeks with greens filling back in. Course is challenging with quite a bit of sand and water as could be expected in Florida. All in all a fair course for a decent price on GolfNow.
Green under maintenance
When I booked my tee time on Golf Now there was nothing on the website about the greens being drilled and several of them were unplayable. Other than the greens being in poor shape currently the course is nice overall.
GolfNow+TigerPoint=Great day!
With a golf now deal, this is one of the better deals in town. Nice course, good condition overall. Some of the tee boxes need a little filling in. Fairways are in good shape, most greens are in good shape too.
Very Challenging
Course was in very good shape. Couple of the greens needed some help but the other 16 were very good. Fairways were in great shape. Course has very challenging holes, lots of water and bunkers. Would definitely recommend this course.
Cart Staff has issues
We were forced to play with another twosome
who had been waiting for 30 minutes to go off.
Althought no other group had gone off for more
that 30 minutes (11:45) the starter made the four
of us wait until 12:30. In addition one of the cart
boys informed us that carts were not allowed in
the parking lot however we noticed several in the parking lot upon our arrival and even more upon
our departure.
GolfNow Customer treated like redheaded stepchild
When it became known we were a GolfNow customer, they didn't want to provide any courtesy at first. We were 1 hr early for our start time, and even though there were NO other golfers, and the tee times were wide open, they were not going to let us tee early. We were ok to wait. The cart attendant got the golf pro to ok it, but the guy at the front desk didn't want to allow it? As it turned out, it was extremely slow play, due to a five-some being allowed to hold up play.
Great course
Had a great time with family and friends, pro-shop cashier was pretty grumpy and sarcastic. All others were very friendly and helpful.
water, water, everywhere
Nice course, nice layout. Water on 14 out of 18 holes, unfortunately, I was in every one!!
Tiger Point
Course good. Was paired up with a guy I wish I had not been paired with. Really not a fan of people who do over the top cursing everytime they hit a bad shot. It creates tension and makes the round a lot less fun.
Good course layout, no tricked up holes.
Played here about 8 times and the course seems to improve over time; better course management.
The staff need to realize that customers are required to keep their jobs.
The course overall (except greens) was in decent shape and fun to play. It became a challenging layout as the wind increased in the afternoon.
My foursome arrived early, approximately 1.5 hours and from the looks of the parking lot the place was closed. There was no one to be seen on the course and the bag attendant stated they didn't have more than 24 people on the course and it was wide open, with no scheduled tee times for 1 hour. When I checked in with the pro shop and asked about going off early I was told that the policy was to strictly adhere to the tee time since I booked through Golf Now. I questioned this since the course was wide open and was taken to the "pro" who stated that since they LOSE money on Golf Now customers that policy would stand. According to him by putting us off early it could take up a good paying customer. If we wanted to pay $49 each we could go off then - the course is NOT a $49 course. They sent instructions over the radio to not let our group go off until our exact tee time.
If Golf Now is a money loser they should drop it and personally Golf Now should drop them. Bag guys were great.
this course is very scenic built along the intercoastal of the gulf
The course is well maintained. The holes are very challenging. The fairways are wide and have an open feeling. There is always a breeze off the Gulf of Mexico. The only small gripe is the lack of signage to direct you to the next hole. Go you won't be disappointed.
Very nice and a great value.
Links style course, lots of par 4's. Well maintained from tee box to green. Beautiful club house and nice practice area.
We played the back tees, very tough into the wind!
The greens were not the best, but the test of the course was in his shape! Probably should have played the blue tees, very tough from the back tees especially with the windy conditions. Overall we had a good time!
Fun Course
This course was fun to play and in very good condition overall. I played red tees and they were excellent. My husband played white tees and some were not in real good condition. Course needs to put up signs indicating direction of next hole. We got lost a couple of times.
Great Course
I played 7-8 different courses in Pensacola and southern Alabama. Tiger Point was one of the better courses we played. Well worth money. Course challenges you to hit your tee shot long and in the fairway - left, right will get you in trouble.
Still early in the season
Overall, I was really pleased with the course. They are still trying to get some grass to grow in some areas but as the sporing progresses, that shouldn't be an issue. The greens are in great shape and are rolling at a pretty good pace.
It was pretty breezy when I played which added to the difficulty. I'll leave you with one tip; pay attention to the pin position and don't go over the green!
No character
Tried this course since it was near my hotel and reviews were decent. The course was in rough shape. Greens were nice speed but very bumpy. Also the layout seems very odd. Everything was dormant so course had no character. Finally the yardage on the card was different from tee markers. Not worth playing.
