Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

Great course and scenic views
Love this course. My wife(a beginner) and I played the day before they were to punch the greens. Not busy at all. Challenging scenic holes. Great course for the money with good greens and fairways. If the wind is up, the course can be very challenging.
Water on most holes make it fun
Fun course to play. If you dont bring the water into play, it is easy to score well.
Great value , surprisingly nice ciurse
Great value for money if you get a hot deal, but still worth the regular price. 14 out of 18 holes have water , one green on an island.
Extremely friendly staff.
Don’t Follow Tournament
Don’t follow a tournament, call before you book. Five and a half hour round following guys in gym shorts, sandals, and actually bare feet. Treated the bunkers like they were the beach. Woe to the golfer that went in a bunker after these guys. And the course marshals did nothing to fix anything. Etiquette and the spirit of the game were totally absent this day. You would think the course would set some standards for any tournament. Totally disappointed in the day, as were my playing partners. There were groups behind us that just gave up and went home. Be careful.
Interesting and a fair challenge
I had an enjoyable afternoon playing Tiger Point. It was a windy day requiring an extra one or two clubs. Water on many holes with an abundant number of sand traps make this a challenging but fair test of golf.
Pluses
1. Straight-forward hole layout
2. Condition of the greens
3. Pace of play
4. Value
Minuses
1. Grass in the teeing areas parched and beat up
2. Several sand traps extremely wet
3. Several sand traps lacking enough sand
4. Staff--some friendly but some unmotivated and not seeming to care
I plan to play Tiger Point when I return to the Pensicola area again. Good challenge and good value.
Pretty scenery but poor condition
Very slow pace. Staff acts like they don't care about anything. Fairways were not in good shape at all. This could be a great course with some work.
Tiger Pt.
Course was in good condition..Greens rolled somewhat quick but in descent shape. Bunkers need work. Bunkers in view from the road or housing are nice, others have poor maintenance. None are edged. Prices during the week should be lower..
great course lay out
Great course lay out, but since this area has had a lot of rain had to only walk a few holes that were real wet. Staff and food was Excellent. I loved the course and next week after things dry out I would call it Excellent, but this week due to wet was very good. Plan to golf again!! A lot of water and sand traps, but set up fairly.
Hot Deals Pay off!
A good time was had by all on the course and at the clubhouse.
Staff was very helpful and friendly loading and unloading the clubs and the marshals kept the play at a steady clip.
be ready on number 6 to use a few balls to get on the green.
Fun Course but pricey
I had a good time matched up with great golfer.I liked the beer cart lady was friendly.Weather was windy but cool fairways and greens in great shape. I was
nice
Very nice course plays a lot longer in the wind
Very friendly staff
Colleges practice round led to slow pace of play
Played on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, some college teams were playing in a tournament Mon. and Tues. , and thus playing a practice round on Sunday. We were right behind college teams that were playing 6-8 players per group. Took 5 1/2 to 6 hrs. to play 18. A couple players in our group and a few groups behind us gave up and went in because the pace of play was extremely slow.
Beautiful setting
Well kept course right on the Santa Rosa, back nine difficult into wind - comes with the territory, overall challenging but enjoyable experience
Love it
This course very challenging really enjoy island green.
Great fairways
The golf pro was not to happy I booked through golfnow and paid $18 per 18 holes, but hey I wound not have played here without that deal, not knowing how great the course was. The course was in great shape, challenging at times with water on one side or the other. The only two complaints I have, would be the friendliness of the pro shop staff, and when making the turn you are nowhere near the clubhouse. It would have been nice to know that when we started 18, we needed to purchase drinks and snacks.since you do not go by the club house.
I'd do it again
Enjoyed the round. The course has good landing areas but still enough of a challenge to make it fun and not take 10 water strokes.
I would definitely play this one again.
This was a Beautiful day to play golf in Janurary.
My wife and I played Tiger Point on a great day, but as Florida would have it's wind was the main trouble. The green were faster than normal and water was on 14 out of 18 holes.
Very nice
Conditions were good for late Jan. Challenging with water on 15 of the 18 holes.
Lots of Water!
Pace of play was super slow, but loved the people and the hole on an island was amazing!
