Colorado National Golf Club

About
The golf course at the Colorado National Golf Club is an 18-hole, public course that is situated just 20 minutes north of Denver. Jay Morrish designed the formerly known as Vista Ridge golf course with a traditional links-style layout. The course covers 7,676 yards of golf from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. Rolling fairways lined with native grasses and large, undulating greens make the golf course interesting, while beautiful views of snow-topped mountains provide pleasant scenery. The course has many bunkers as well as water hazards. Colorado National Golf Club also features five sets of tee boxes for golfers to work on a number of different handicaps.

Highly recommend this course in North Denver
Was traveling to Denver and recommended this course by a friend and would def recommend for others. Easy commute north, great service staff and course was in pristine condition!
Rough Shape for the Price
Course is in poor shape for this time of year. $115 is crazy when you can play other local gems for half that. The greens are slow and have plenty of divots. The par 3 tee boxes are beat up already. Lastly the staff is grumpy. They seem bothered that you’re there. They don’t open the pro shop until 15 minutes before the first tee time so don’t expect to warm up.
course
its 70 dollars course that doesn't have a great course. oh the fairway green are horrible its hard as a rock on the ground . not worth my money to play again..
Great layout, poor condition
First time playing the course. The layout is good and I like the risk/reward opportunities throughout the course. The conditions of the course were poor. The greens were punched/sanded approx 2 weeks ago and putting on them was still brutal. The tee boxes were also in rough shape. Fairways were as expected and bunkers were good.
$120 Green Fee???
Booked a tee time for a Sunday morning round via Golf Now. The booked rate was $116 (plus fees), so I expected the course to be in pristine condition give the price. Several of the tee boxes were in horrible shape with some areas completely void of grass, the greens were punched 10 days earlier and still had quite a bit of sand on them a few of the holes had dead spots. For $120 it’s absolutely NOT worth the cost. Most courses will offer a discount for punched greens and it’s laughable to charge that amount with the course in that condition. Pace of play was ok for a beautiful Sunday but still slow (4h 45m) for a premium price. I’m interested to know what their mid summer rates are and what conditions have improved.
Spring Golf
Colorado National was in spring conditions, with some green grass starting to show up in the fairways. Greens were smooth and fast, IMO. Lots of workers out addressing the irrigation system so likely to turn on soon. Course is still cart path only, which makes rounds a bit longer, and legs more tired. I believe it to be one of the better layouts in the area. You have doglegs left and right, shots uphill and downhill, lots of sand traps (which were nicely filled with sand and soft), and shots over water and natural areas. Price is reasonable for the quality of course in the area. Nice restaurant with wide selection of choices. Huge driving range with lots of targets to shoot for.
Very good course.
This is a very good course. Very challenging but not unfair. It’s March, so the current conditions are a little rough, but so is every other course in the metro area. Staff is helpful and friendly. Practice facility is also very good. This course should be in your rotation.
Great hot deal rate and great course
Always a good time at CN, but as always the pace of play is >>4.5 hours
