Rating 75.3

The golf course at the Colorado National Golf Club is an 18-hole, public course that is situated just 20 minutes north of Denver. Jay Morrish designed the formerly known as Vista Ridge golf course with a traditional links-style layout. The course covers 7,579 yards of golf from its longest tees and plays to a par of 72. Rolling fairways lined with native grasses and large, undulating greens make the golf course interesting, while beautiful views of snow-topped mountains provide pleasant scenery. The course has many bunkers as well as water hazards. Colorado National Golf Club also features five sets of tee boxes for golfers to work on a number of different handicaps.

Great course. Long. Course difficutly challenging and varies, the degree of difficulty is depending on tee off location

My husband and I love it. One of the better courses in the Denver Metro area. My husband tees from the blue or black tee positionings, which offers him the degree of challange he loves. Me, I tee off from the Silver, a shorter more moderate location and which allows us to keep an even pace. Pro Shop is a little pricey, come prepared.

Visually superb

Man elevated tees. Greens are huge and in perfect conditions. The fairways are wide and forgiving.

Course needs some work.

Individual @ reception desk was not very cordial or welcoming. For an exclusive club personel were not concerned with customer service. Our tee time was delayed by at least 30 minutes so we were not able to complete our 18 holes due to darkness. Original tee time was 2:45 P.M. and we did not tee off until 3:20 P.M.

This course has tough greens

The views of the Flatirons are great. With the open layout and tiered greens that are still putable for most this course provides everything needed for a challenge and a good time. I recommend playing this course

I was not impressed.

I don't want to be too critical, especially since we got a good deal to play the course. But it was in really poor condition when we played it. It didn't seem like it is being well-cared for (which had nothing to do with the vandalism on the greens they experienced). It also was a VERY long round. And part of the reason for that, I think, was that they moved all the tee boxes way up. Maybe they thought that would speed things up for the hackers, but a lot of the holes were just too short from the gold tees for a decent player. I was not pleased with the value on the day we played it. I'll probably give it another try next year though.

Nice course, some challenging holes.

The course was is in pretty good shape when I played it, however, the greens were really beat up! They definitely needed work!

Overall, a good value for the $$.

Good course, but conditions not up to par

Course was in disappointly poor condition, particularly the greens and aprons. In previous years this was an outstanding course.

Hard grass and soil. challenging design

Seemed like an atypical species of grass with harder than usual soil. Harder than average but plenty enjoyable for amateurs.

Pro shop staff rather snobbish.

Course (greens) in better condition than expected after vandalism a few months ago. Pro shop attitudes still in need of big improvements (Huge turn off). Restaurant staff friendly as always. Menu above average. Course remains a fair challenge depending on tee selection even though native grass not as thick as years past.
