Port Ludlow Golf Resort
About
The Resort at Port Ludlow sits along the shores of the Puget Sound with views that stretch across the Port Ludlow Bay. Located just 90 minutes from Seattle, the resort offers a luxurious waterfront inn, a marina, an award-winning restaurant, and a championship 18-hole golf course. Robert Muir Graves designed the course. He crafted a layout that challenging but rewarding, all while preserving the beautiful natural surroundings. The golf course is just one of 10 in the state of Washington that is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. During your round, you'll enjoy abundant wildlife and panoramic views of the Hood Canal and Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. The golf course isn’t long but it's tight and will require both accuracy and strategy. Many holes are dramatically sloped and there are hazards facing you at almost every turn.

Beautiful Views from the Tees and Fairways
This is a lovely course. Beautiful trees, views, landscaped. Challenging ups and downs. Excellent shape.
Perfect golf day
Saturday is why we put up with NW winters - cuz the summers are so AWESOME! Our twosome paired up with another twosome. Pace of play was perfect....we were not chasing anyone nor were we being chased. Greens were in perfect condition and the traps and fairways in great shape. The rough could have benefited from a trim - but otherwise we had a great time on a perfect day.
20 Years too long
Hadn't played Port Ludlow in 20 years, wasn't that enamored last time. The trees got bigger, the fairways got tighter, and I enjoyed the course a lot. A lot of doglegs that require hitting the ball the right distance, long off the tee isn't necessarily your friend on most holes. Accuracy off the tee will make the course fairly easy, but miss a fairway and you'll be lucky to make double bogey. Large greens with a fair amount of undulation. I was surprised how dry the course was considering the rainfall we've had, I was expecting some mushy areas and some plugged balls, I got bounce and roll instead. I'll go back a lot sooner.
Nice course
Course was in really good shape . Reasonably priced beats paying $60 to play a Six hour round at the Seattle municipals.
Beautiful setting
We really enjoyed this course, it was so beautiful and a challenging course but not too difficult for someone who isn't a long hitter either. Nice wide open fairways.
One of the most beautiful courses in the state.
Port Ludlow is one of the most beautiful courses I've played in Washington. Absolutely amazing. First few times I played I spent more time taking pictures than stressing about bad golf shots. Highly recommend this course.
Nice but could have been better
First time at this course. Played on a Tuesday. We ended up having a great time stopping for a great hot dog and a beer at the turn. The only bad comment was all of the ground work that was going on interrupting us at several holes and they closed the pro shop earlier tan we expected as we were loading clubs in the car at 5pm. We had planned to buy a shirt and/or hat. We plan to go back again someday
First time in 20 yrs
I played with my son. We had a great time the course was in great condition. It was only 31 dollars with a cart for us. Through Golfnow. I highly recommend golf now and tho course
Great course, worth the drive!
A very scenic course. Not a long course but very challenging one. I always walk and that's a challenge too! Can be a bit damp in the winter. Loved it.
Good local resort course
Port Ludlow is a great value, with beautifully landscaped holes and many challenges for the average golfer.
The greens are epic
The course in so nice .. But just isn't the same port Ludlow with out the TRAIL 9 they need to bring it back
PNW all the way
There are no holes bordering other holes. Most of the course is in wooded areas with homes on just a few.
Smokeyjoe
Love this course! Greens had been aerated and were lumpy. Wet weather had prevented mowing of the rough. I would play this course again, anytime and any condition for the $16 rate I got!
Great course
Rough is really thick and sometimes hard to find balls. Also greens were recently sanded and bunkers were hard pan. Lastly, it may be early in the season but the hole signage was missing. Overall great course, good value!
A great course in bad shape currently
I have played this course many times and have always enjoyed it; but, this time was very disappointing. The greens were in terrible shape with many dead spots and quite bumpy and difficult to put. The fairways were exceedingly wet and the grass was nearly the rough.
Perhaps it will dry out somewhat and regain it's usual beauty and play as the spring progresses.
Great winter greens
The greens were smooth and rather fast even with a morning rain before the round.
Will play here again!
Great course conditions during the winter, friendly staff and awesome rates!
Beautiful course
Well worth a trip to the peninsula
Just over the hood canal bridge
great course, tall fir and cedar border fairways. elevated tees and greens
Have played this course many times before and Its a great summer course. The date I played for this review was Sept 29 and there was standing water on greens and fairways with bunkers filled with water. Carts driven off paths will do serious damage to fairways. Went to play this somewhat local course because my home course was aerating greens. Great value for the golfnow.com rate of $23.00 with cart had it been a month or so earlier in the year. Suspected I made an error when the parking lot was empty and the putting green was like a giant sponge. Welcome to Fall golf in the Pacific Northwest !!!.
This course is a nice layout in a beautiful setting.
Enjoyed the day, the course was well maintained and the staff were friendly. We had a foursome and were able to play with no one in front and no pressure behind. It was a beautiful day and the course is a fun course to play and very scenic.
