Port Ludlow Golf Resort

The weather was horrible for my first time on this course, but still had fun and enjoyed the round. Will definitely go back.

The greens are uneven, made up of multiple grasses that leave gaps in the surface affecting the putt line.

Friendly accommodating staff. Good golf and food. ,

The course challenges us to figure out where the ball will roll or putt...often not as expected. Need to keep trying!

My foursome was treated outstanding from the time we arrived until we left. Course was great condition.

Great public golf course, challenging, beautiful scenery with easy pace of play. Tide & Timber are both great but different from one another. You don't get tired of playing the course.

Play 2 or 3 times every summer. Beautiful views of Sound and Cascades.

course was ok...no better than a lot of other courses for a lot less money

I hadn't been to Port Ludlow for many, many years but enjoyed my recent round. Used to be three nines, now two. The course was well maintained, although it would have been nice if they weren't maintaining it so much while I was trying to play (mowers were annoying). Greens were hard and fast but true. Plenty of water and sand challenges with several forced carries off the tee. Overall a nice layout. About 3:45 for time on the round which was fine.

Course is in immaculate condition!! Paired up with good people making it that much more enjoyable.

Beautiful 18 hole course. It's a shorter course, but certainly still challenging with a great variety of unique and picturesque holes. The greens were 90% playable (some brown/dead edges) and mowed for about a 10.5 on the stimpmeter which allowed for genuine roll without being ridiculously fast. Yardage marked with 200/150/100 posts along the fairways, colored circles on the cart path, and fnt/cnt/bck on many sprinkler heads. Tee boxes were nicely maintained and level. Fairways were manicured and gave some roll. Avoid the bunkers because your lie will be difficult to judge. Walking the course involves significant elevation changes but most holes provide a short distance from green to the next tee box.

First group in the morning was enchanting with a wee bit of ground mist rising as the sun came up. Course was in outstanding shape greens rolled true,,,,,,but oh watch out for very challenging breaks. Not very many flat spots. Though local to me, the only time I play it is when I snag one of the golf now specials......and then...what an incredible bargain.

Port Ludlow is an older course once ranked among the state's best. The proliferation of newer and modern courses moved it down in the rankings some but it has been in excellent condition the past few years. Greens are always excellent and combination of sun and moisture this spring and early summer has kept fairways in excellent shape. Pace of play is excellent on my visits in the past few years. Local members happily allow faster players through and non-member guests are well treated. Staff are friendly. Modest clubhouse facilities keep focus on golf and sandwich options make for a good meal before or after the round.

Port Ludlow is a course with a great layout. Each hole is different with its own unique characteristics. There are lovely homes on about half of the holes but they are placed out of the way of play. On the other holes you are out in the woods and wild. Ponds and streams on some of the holes also add interest and challenge.

Having played Port Ludlow two or three times a year for the past 20 years I still enjoy playing this course. During the past 20 years the course has seen times of perfect condition and times of needed improvement. During this visit of June 2013, both my usual playing partner and I commented that the course was not up to the condition that we have normally experienced. The course itself seemed to need fertilizer and weed control applied to the turf. The bunkers were in need of edge trimming. The garden areas around the course and club house were not as neat as in the past. Hopefully these areas are improved in the next few weeks. With a great GolfNow price of under $30 we plan to return to Port Ludlow in a month or two to check the conditions.

Course was challenging. Will play this course again, again.

The round was a fun one and was definitely a great value for the price I paid on Golfnow.com. If it is your first time playing the course, I recommend playing with someone who knows the course, because there are several blind shots with trouble on the other side. It was an enjoyable round and I look forward to playing the course again soon.

Course is in great shape. It's usually fairly wet till May, but recent weather has firmed it up. Love the variety from different tees.

Such a great course that plays well all year round. Greens roll true, and the different tees really change up the difficulty. Plus you really can't beat the scenery.
