Lovely Parkland feel IN Inverness centre..
Lovely setting in the middle of Inverness...staff and fellow golfers very
friendly, and approachable...Our round should have been around 3 hrs,
but set out behind a small outing...3 fourballs...and pace was slow...
Course itself was in lovely condition..good test of your iron game if you
are straight...anything left of right will be hampered with trees..not long
but tricky in places...great all round!!
Lovely clubhouse facilities
Well worth a visit...
Thanks to all!
An average course
An average course , at £80 it’s terrible value for money in comparison to many relatively near courses. At £50 I’d not have downvoted but this is never ever an £80 course
A fine course close to the city centre
Second time playing and not the last. Remarkable condition given the time of year and recent weather. Greens running true. Fairway mats in use which I don't have but the gentleman in the pro shop kindly loaned me one. The course is well designed, not too long and generally easy to walk. Accurate driving would definitely be an advantage. The clubhouse is excellent. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
Unsatisfied experience
There was no prior warning of winter tees & winter greens being used on every hole along with 3 holes being closed off until after we had made further purchases in the pro-shop. Would have been nice to know what we would have been playing so we had the option to pull out before hand.
On a positive note… would be a lovely course to play in summer.
winter play
winter time conditions yet the greens wear still good despite being the winter ones,
A hidden gem
This course , winds through tree lined fairways , initially the first four holes are nothing to be excited about .
Then the whole dynamics change and the course transforms into a very different beast .
Hole after hole are totally unique / interesting and a real challenge ,
The greens were in great condition as was the rest of the course , given the amount of overnight rain we had experienced..
Overall a fantastic course definitely recommended
Tight parkland course
Played for the first time yesterday afternoon. Only 5700 off the yellows but somehow loaded with long par 4s. Played alone and round in two and a half hours. Holes are mostly tree lined both sides. Not really thick woods though so lost balls aren't as big an issue as you might think. Hit it straight though and you'll be rewarded. The par 3s are all a little tricky. Course was in great condition for late October. Well worth the winter rate. Recommended.
Inverness Golf
Played this on. Hot Deal for £30. Great pro shop staff…friendly and inviting. The informed me that a Scramble tourney was out before me…but I could go out a bit earlier than my tee time. Pace of play was good.. I did catch up to the tourney after hole 12…but still was fine with the pace. The group in front of me was a threesome of locals..they said they would normally invite me to play along..but they were in the tourney…'no priblem' Course was in really good shape..Fairways were nice…greens were great…not overly fast..but very true and a nice roll. Really for the price..this is a great track…I played the Medal Tees…6000 yards…it play maybe a bit longer..with a few up hill holes and some false front greens. I would definitely play here again.
