Loved this course!
Had a great time golfing mid-Feb. Amazing conditions considering it is middle of winter. Will plan to come a lot during the summer, some great challenging holes and some fun easier holes to balance the course.
Great Golf Day !
We played a Friday afternoon at 2PM, got in 16 holes before darkness, weather was 50's course was in great shape for February ! $30 bucks,$10 for cart ! It was a great afternoon!
It's a fine layout but the staff is not very friendly and the conditions were pretty bad. To be fair it was February, but nonetheless the prices were way too high for the time of year, the course conditions, and the pace of play.
Good winter golf destination
Not the best kept course, but not the worst either. Very decent for $60 with cart for someone who does not live in NYC. Could do worse.

The course does not drain well so cart path only, and some soggy fairways, tee boes , greens were ok. The players need to fix ball marks
Its a bit long of a walk between and 7th and 8th holes,
and also 14th and 15th
course was in good shape for January.
Great track all year long.

Great Winter Course
It’s winter and I was surprised at how good the fairways and green were kept. I can’t say the same for the tee boxes… also there were hardly any leaves on the course. Pace of play is usually fair. Overall i recommend this course.

The weather fifties in January with a light breeze, so everyone is out playing golf.. The course like most recovering from a dry Summer
Mature course with good layout. Cart paths need repair
Van Cortland Park is a very well used course due to its proximity to Manhattan and the Bronx.
Once the Westchester County courses close for the winter it gets busier.
One of the two folks in my three some yesterday had come from Manhattan.
Overall its a good public course; but I wonder why the management do not invest the revenue generated towards better up-keep1?
Tee boxes are beat up because this is one of only a few course that stay open all year round and since the weather has been decent so is golfers are taking advantage. So with that being said we are beating the tee boxes up and grass doesn’t grow in the winter.
