After half the groups had teed off and there was still 4 or 5 in front of us. And we were on time. Photo submitted by null on 09/25/2014
4 holes closed with no mention
The final four holes were closed and the only reason we found out was finding a locked gate after a long. No discounted rate and when we spoke to the starter about it he rudely said he told everyone we should’ve known. He definitely did not mention it
3 holes were close and nobody said anything. Not happy.
great muni
anytime no snow on the ground this course is ALWAYS open. course in good condition, only duck leftovers on the fairway {winter fallout}, does not hurt ball much. Highly recommend you try it. worst round on weekend was 4.5 hour average 4.
Classic great course
Vanny is in solid condition and remains a fun and challenging muni. Always a great round, eap when you tee off early — tee off late and risk a 6 hour round.
Mid January in New York
The course is in good shape considering the time of year in the Northeast USA . THe Tee Boxes are a little challenging , condition wise .

Hard to give a fair review during COVID and in the middle of January but all things considered it was a very enjoyable experience!
Muddy despite no rain for more than a week necessitating cart path only which severely delays pace of play.
Geese droppings everywhere, like playing in a litter box. Get some trained border collies.

Pretty good for the price. Worth it if youre not an advanced golfer. Better during the summer but it is nice that it is opened during the winter too.

even on a Sunday still only 4 1/2 hours, course in good condition. A must play .
Historic course
Played in the winter during COVID so the course and amenities were limited but it was a nice round. The pace of play was fine. I can’t wait to play in the spring.
