Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course

It’s a great course and we played rather quickly. Most likely due to the current situation there seemed to be less golfers. The shack was open for food and drinks.

Excellent playing conditions. Greens were great and fairways in good condition. Even though courses are under COVID restrictions they must find creative ways to provide amenities to golfers.

Municipal course in pretty location. Fairways not bad. Green smooth but very slow. Reasonable and easy to get weekday times

I got a great rate GN $20 green fee, $50 with a cart and taxes. The 1st tee box ???? No change since lockdown. The greens really slow, par for the city courses. Played nine rained out, course shut down, asked to vacate.

Played there for second time. Condition of course is much improved from 2 weeks ago when it was first opened. Course has enough variation that you will go through much of the bag and greens were in good shape even in they play a little slow. Staff was great and very helpful. Overall great course for the value. One warning if you are walking there is a lot of distance between many holes. Tough walk in summer heat

I had a horrible experience at your course today. 6/29/2020. On arrival for my 2:48 tee time. We arrived about 20-30 mins early. We ended up Having to waiting till after 2:50 to even head to the tee box that we’re back up 15-20 mins easily on each hole. We had one Rain storm come in About an hour into our round and then half way through our round we had severe thunderstorms come in and had to come back to the club house. I then spoke to the guy working behind the counter and he refused to give me a rain check, not for even 9 holes. He was extremely rude to us and then shut the window on us while I was still talking, with him saying that’s too bad. Horrible experience Especially after paying for the round and then charged 20$ each Player to use one cart.

Vany is the oldest public golf course in the USA. It has historical significance in the realm of manny courses. Sadly it hasn’t made its presence known as other courses like bethpage, winter park golf course in Orlando which is now a historical heritage park. Vany also has the original lockers and the aura inside the club house is vintage. The front 9 misses frequency to rattle up the feeling, but the back starts hitting the soul with fantastic 14 - 18 finishing holes. Even from NY, I was surprise to see Lack of friendliness hovers around the club, it is however boogie Bronx. But was surprise to see Little Attitude enter Vany soul. Times are changing as the young blood enters the game of frustration and missed opportunity. In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and city makes its presence known on certain holes, highway running next to fairways. green fairways within concrete jungle. A historic course that needs to be in heritage books since yesterday.

Had a reservation tee time for 11:47, arrives at course, 1 .5 hr delay, and thats just the delay, not talkibg about the waiting time at the first tee, backed up 45 minutes. Worst of many experience's I've encountered at this course.

The pace was slow. It took us 5 hrs to finish the round. But it was a very nice day so I guess everyone want to play a round of golf in the middle of February. The staffs are very nice and easy going. I will definitely return..
