Van Cortlandt Park Golf Course

Good course to play for an inexpensive rate. Very difficult course to walk, a lot of far distances between holes.

I played this course mid week and outside of the 1st tee box it was in great condition. The starter was doing his job and making sure everyone was moving along. If your going to play this course i highly recommend playing mid week with a 730-8 am starting time. it took just under 4 hours to play. Great job guys keep it up.

Nice playable course - great for beginners and weekly golfers. Can be challenging if no tin fairways but not very long so you can score here. Greens are super slow so adapt to them... Overall a nice time out.there both times I played it, I will be back ... .

Fairways were in good shape & tee boxes need Attention. The greens were WAY TOO SLOW. It's the only reason I wouldn't recommend it yet. They have to care for the GREENS a little more. Cut them and roll them.

The course itself was generally well kept. With the exception of the first tee box, the rest of the grounds were well kept. The layout is very different from other courses. Very spread out and tough to walk. Gold cart is recommended but very expensive for a public course. Also had an issue with a ranger picking up a ball in play that the person I was paired with was playing. Had total disregard for the rules and attempted to place blame on the golfer because he was “taking too long”. This was a bogus claim since we had good spacing from the group behind us for most of the round. I would not recommend playing this course.

It’s a great course and we played rather quickly. Most likely due to the current situation there seemed to be less golfers. The shack was open for food and drinks.

Excellent playing conditions. Greens were great and fairways in good condition. Even though courses are under COVID restrictions they must find creative ways to provide amenities to golfers.
