What a shame.. All bunkers are in need of major work. Photo submitted by dirtyfrank007 on 08/17/2021

Brooklyn Golf
A golf course plays in Brooklyn. Great course. It's in great shape this year. Fairways are firm and the greens are running smooth (most of them, anyway). Just bring some patience. It's crowded and plays slowly.
Great Morning!!!!
The course & greens are in very good condition. The greens are challenging for putts. I played the back nine and walked in 2hours 15 mins . I def would play again
Fairways and ruff are joke.
Short course, fairways and ruff are not maintained and appears heavily relied upon rain. If I had a choice I would not play here again but I know in NYC you don't have much of a choice so people appear to tolerate this type of condition and pay money up words of $60.
Nice course, but gets backed up
Took about 5 hours to finish the round, but I did like the ease of access from Manhattan ($35 by cab).
Worth it in the afternoon
Decent course, although always a little slow, no matter what time of day.
A must: go to Dyker bagels after for a chicken ridiculous. It makes the journey to the bottom of brooklyn 100% even more worth it.
Nice enough course but pace too slow
Nice enough course, not very adventurous layout - no water hazards and many holes just straight tee to green. Fairways in great condition. Greens decent though a reminder sign to "repair ball marks" would help. Main problem was pace of play. Clearly they overbook, not leaving enough space between tee times. I played on a weekday around noon. Waited over 30mins on first tee. Many holes backed up. Finished 5:30pm. Difficult to enjoy with such a slow pace.
Charming city course ! Verrazano jewel
Nice course ! Offering challenging par 3, long par 4, and rewarding par 5 , where going for d green in 2 can result in a challenging bunker shot ! The course is in average condition and the staff was ok, too many people teeing off at the same time , and the pace of play was about 4.5 hours
Great to be able to play 9
Course was in good condition. Will walk next time out. Able to play 9 in just under 2hours
Never again on a holiday weekend
The course is in decent shape but having a 10:12am tee time and waiting an hour to tee off, waiting on every shot and then finishing the 9th hole at 1:55pm was too much for this golfer to endure. The pace of play was going to be 7 hours based on the 3.5 hour front 9. Simply unacceptable. That said if I can get there on a Tuesday, Wed or Thurs I would go back.
Nice course. Horrible wait
Nice course. Well kept and a gem within Brooklyn. But maybe it was the holiday weekend but we started about an hour after our reserved tee time. Took almost 6 1/2 hours to finish.
Tee Time not respected
I booked a 7:48 AM foursome but was only able to tee off at 8:35! So why sell a slot when they have a regular mens club outing that morning??? Facility is nice but time management is close to non-existent.
Wait wait wait
When I arrived, I was told the course was "wide open out there." Nothing could have been further from the truth. On the back 9, I waited An eternity at each tee, and before most shots really. It reached a point where it affected my playing, as it felt like every single shot I hit was my first shot of the day. When you wait that long that often, you can't get into any kind of groove, and it stops being fun. The group in front of me had absolutely no business on a golf course and should only be on a range, and they were not the only ones. Many of the greens were in awful shape too. Living in Manhattan my options are limited, but I have had enough of this place.
Great Course, Slow play
Had a great time at this course. Fun and well maintained. Only issue was the spacing, the Marshal did not do a great job of timing the rounds
Loving my early morning experience
Love to play nine then go to work. Staff gets me checked in and on the tee very quickly
if you haven't been here don't come
I made the mistake of inviting some friends from Staten Island to play here on a Friday morning. I was unaware that an outing was scheduled for 1:00Pm the same day , thus we were informed that they were double teeing. This led to us playing this Hidden Jem in 3.5 hrs and having a nice lunch before noon. .Too add everyone that works there has a smile that I think is fKe but can't tell because they actnso nice. Whatever stay away!!
still the home of the 5 1/2 hour round
I went on a Tuesday and the pace of play was very slow on the front but opened up a bit on the back. I've been back since on a Monday and it was much better. My GolfNow reservation was somehow moved back 15 minutes and we still went off 30 minutes after that. Course is in great shape and I think a lot of fun to play. I also wish they had a pull cart to rent as its a great walking course.
Bad end of our vacation
our tee-time was 8.44 a.am. We started at 9.44.
the front nine takes 3 1/2 hours. There was nobody present to change this slow playing. We had to brake after 12 holes, bacause our flight back to Germany was waiting for us.
There were also no Fittingrooms.
Marshalls could keep the players on the clock at various points throughout the course to ensure better paced play
I am very much looking forward to my next round at Dyker Beach...the course was in great playing condition but the pace of play was slower then it needed to be. A couple of marshalls arround the course to ensure players are keeping up with the pace of play is recommended. I
Course was in great shape
It is always nice when playing a course where it is in great shape, fairways & greens were impressive, highly recommend to friends.
