Still Winter
Still Winter, but the course shaping right towards Spring. Fairway aerated, fescue has grown as of yet, greens look good, I anticipate that they will be great in mid spring. Beautiful overcast day slight showers allowed for fast play
Winter Rules
Course we’ll maintain over the winter months, today was strong winds colder than forecast, “greens” always challenging today was no difference, hitting into strong winds sounds exciting but can break you as a golfer. (Lol). Overall fast pace course looks good, can’t wait for warmer weather
Winter greens but perfect golf
The staff could not be any better, great bar and food, awesome course layout. New second favorite course in the area behind bethpage.
Winter Rules
Listen, it’s February in NY and we’re playing golf so it’s all good. Marine Park is becoming a go to even if there is some work being done and some standing frozen water. I’d put the back 9 up against most in the area, really challenging. Give MP a chance, don’t focus on the old carts or short driving range... place is definitely a great place.
Nice Greens especially for NYC Muni
Great greens make it hard to score. Cool dunelike bunkers and hills looks a bit desert dystopia. Easy to find stray balls. Sand traps had good sand especially for this time of year. Enough charm and upkeep not to be a dawg track. Always nice to par the last 2 holes.
Not worth the price
Played here on Thursday 11/21/19 at 745 am. This is my first time playing this course. I was disappointed that it cost $67 to play on a weekday in November. The course itself was in good condition. Greens were quick and undulating. Course is wide open. You can spray it left and right without getting into too much trouble. I wouldn’t recommend playing here for this price especially in winter.
Beat of a course in Brooklyn
My favorite course in and around NYC is Marine Park in Brooklyn. With country club like greens and wide open layouts this is a fun and challenging course. There is usually a lot of wind coming in off the water so play an extra club length into the greens. Staff is always friendly and pace of play is usually great during weekdays!

Tournament Ready- in November ? Yep
Great day and great conditions for this late in the season. Rain made the greens soft and “getable.” Greens were tournament fast and what make this course hard. Wind was relatively lite but still held up some approach shots. Marine Park has really come into its own over the last 3 years with course changes and upgrades really coming into effect. Working mans version of Trump Links- affordable and well maintained. And hard.
No Notice of Grns being Air raided and Construction
Wish there was a Notice of Grns being Air raided and Construction going on some holes... and to charge full price.
Beautiful Day, Beautiful round
The course recently aerated took nothing away from the round, pace of play was excellent 3 1/2 hours, course gets better and better each time I play it.
Wonderful golf course with terrible pace of play
Nothing disappoints in the golf course. Well kept, stunning view. It’s a pity that the pace of play was so bad that we couldn’t finish the 18holes before it got dark. We had to wait nearly 10mins between shots. Not acceptable.
Fun layout and one of the best munis in NYC. The very big caveat here, as is the case at most public courses in NYC, is pace of play. Even on a chilly day with a relatively late tee time the pace was a full five and a half hours for 18. Unbelievable. Slow golfers are partly to blame, of course, but the rangers ought to be more proactive in judging along golfers to keep pace front of mind.
Greens were very fast.
I felt like the fairways are open and even with the sand dunes on the sides I didn’t think it played that hard. The greens were very fast though so I often 3 pitted with a 4 putt to make a 6 at one point. That sucked haha.
