Golfer Reviews
Fun Course, Top Conditions. Great Value.
Fun course to play, very interesting hole designs (with some blind shots). Conditions were excellent tee to green. Right now there secondary rough is very tall grasses - impossible to find balls. this slowed things down a little but still played 18 in under 4.5 hrs. Lots of elevation and great views. Carts (electric) were very nice with full GPS. One of best courses available to the public in Rochester area - and a trememdous value! (don't be afraid to play a forward tee, they will still be plenty challenging.)
MillCreek
Tough course
Played well from Silver tees
Don’t be macho with the tee box selection, as it will eat you up.
Maintenance is good considering how hard this course is probably to maintain
By far the best public course near Rochester.
So much better than the half dozen surounding public courses. This is a real golf course, with challenging fairways and greens. Great staff and food. I be back my next time in town.
Review
Great public course to play, and is quite challenging. The course is covered in hills, and blind shots, but is Definetly fun to play as a near scratch golfer.
Great Layout
Mill Creek is a beautiful layout and superb course to play. It was still pretty wet on parts of the course so it was cart path only today. The new carts are very nice. Greens were recently aerated so they were very slow. I assume Mill Creek will start cutting the greens down soon to get the green speed we expect on this course. Super friendly staff and a great day for golf!
Great course slow greens today
There is not one thing I do not love about this course. It’s amazing. The greens were a little slow on Mother’s Day. Other than that which I know is not normal the course is awesome
Prepare to lose balls
First the layout is beautiful. Prolly the only good thing. If you’re not a consistent fairway to green player, you’re in for a very very long day. The rough is so overgrown that anything in there is basically lost. I lost a couple balls that should have been no more than 5 yards off green or fairway. The short rough is more like thick, long rough making it impossible to find your ball. Anything not hit in the “short” rough is basically lost. Grass came up to my knees. Bunkers are really hard. Greens and fairways are nice, so if you stay there all day you’ll be fine but def not a course for anyone that doesn’t have a consistent game.
Great track
Greens were punched and sanded controlled slow but true. The course is the amazing. The design is amazing. Play here if you haven’t yet and i’ll guarantee you’ll be back over and over again
Honest
PLEASE BE ADVISED this review is based on a handicap 78 year old having to play a very hilly golf course in cart path only restrictions
A absolutely fav but be prepared if you walk!
I love this course. It is well cared for and offers many challenges. Played it a number of times. Decided to take advantage of the early opening and got out yesterday but no carts. No big deal I thought. I like walking I thought. Was confident I was gonna die on the back nine! :) The elevation changes make walking it a majorly challenge of fitness. With a cart, everyone should go. Without, consider lung capacity and stamina first. Carts next week!
