Designed by Robin Nelson, The Dunes at Maui Lani is immaculately maintained and brilliantly laid out. It is a tribute to the great links courses of Ireland that more than one golf writer has described as a "British Open course on Maui." Stunning dunes dot the terrain at every corner, challenging the golfer at every hole.
In addition to 18 holes of championship golf, The Dunes offers the only lighted practice range in central Maui, with grass tees, fairway and green-side bunkers and a pitching and putting green, plus an air-conditioned pavilion. Also, when not on the golf course, golfers can enjoy a four-star meal at Cafe O'Lei at The Dunes.

SLOW Pace of Play
The Pace of Play was extremely slow!! They tried to squeeze in more players than they should have. The round not enjoyable at all because of it. Will not come back here again.
Best I've seen it - ever
I try to play The Dunes whenever I'm over here, and have played it probably a dozen times over the years. It was in the best condition I've ever seen it this year. I've always been a fan of the layout, but have played it when it was in terrible condition or merely average. This year it was almost perfect. Tees were alittle rough, but fairways and greens were excellent. As i said, the layout is good. An easy starting two holes lulls you a bit, but it gets tougher, culminating in the 9-10-11 turn that is as tough as any three hole swing as anywhere. After that it has a variety of easy/tougher holes to finish up. Well worth the price, especially compared to the big money courses.
Best I've ever seen it!
I've played The Dunes many times over the years and this was the best conditioning I've ever seen. Fairways and greens were perfect. the greens held shots but were true and medium speed. The course has a variety of holes and 9-10-11 could be on any course - tough, tough, tough.
Dunes at Maui Lani
This is a very interesting layout. With a lot of up and down holes. The sand bunkers can be challenging. The course conditions are very good. It's one of those courses you need to play a few times to get a good feeling for it. The restaurant is exceptional. Pace of play is good.
Nice non-resort course
plenty of challenges in this track. challenging but not overwhelming. really makes you think about club selection. it helps to follow on line course layout as there are a number of blind shots. greens were at a speed that accounts for the grain without being penal. wind picked up on back nine adding to the news to be strategic.
very enjoyable round. thought the green fees were a little high

Arrived a little late, no problem. My bad. Greens were very nice and overall, the course was in very good condition. Nice, challenging layout with plenty of elevation changes, and beautiful undulating greens.
Recommend.
A class B course at best. No where near a five star rating. Maybe a two.
Course in bad shape. Felt like playing on a cheap public facility. Would. not recommend this golf experience.
