Designed by Robin Nelson, The Dunes at Maui Lani is immaculately maintained and brilliantly laid out. It is a tribute to the great links courses of Ireland that more than one golf writer has described as a "British Open course on Maui." Stunning dunes dot the terrain at every corner, challenging the golfer at every hole.

In addition to 18 holes of championship golf, The Dunes offers the only lighted practice range in central Maui, with grass tees, fairway and green-side bunkers and a pitching and putting green, plus an air-conditioned pavilion. Also, when not on the golf course, golfers can enjoy a four-star meal at Cafe O'Lei at The Dunes.

Great Course

The course layout and challenge is excellent. The multiple tee boxes provide a great experience for all abilities and distances.

The only negative were the bunkers which were mostly mud or hard, cement like, sand.

Fast greens, many bunkers

The greens were in great shape, most likely because of a previous tournament, they’ve been slow and furry lately. Lots of bunkers and different varieties of sands, some bunkers have beach sand it seems. Course is a good challenge

This course was the most fun and challenging for any level. The layout has many variations. Surprisingly links style was so interesting.

Definitely would play it again while in Maui. The green fees were very reasonable. The driving range was convenient and the clubhouse receptionist was helpful and kind.

Nothing but the best time!

If I would see some improvement would be a beverage cart. Good to bring your own.

Great course in great shape. Fantastic pace of play (just over 3 hours) but still time enough to enjoy the wonderful views of Maui.

My only nit is the greens could roll faster.

But overall, best course and best value for the price on the island.

Here is island golf at it's best at a public track. Challenging! Great course layout! Greens were a little slow! Will go back ahead of almost every other track on Maui!
