Kissena Park Golf Course

I like Kissena Park Golf Course. It’s a shorter course with many challenges. Lots of hills and elevated greens. The views are amazing. Stop to enjoy the Manhattan skyline at the 10th hole. And a big plus for city courses, free parking.

Only 4500 yds. 8 par threes. Still had a good time. Fun course.

Long wait between holes. It was a beautiful sunny day and low 60s temps so it seemed a lot of people were taking advantage.

If you have patience, you’ll enjoy yourself.

Kissena is a short but challenging course. A hilly course offering vistas from almost every angle. The fairways are tight and the greens a challenge. The staff is pleasant and even the snack bar offered good food and beer for a decent price. One of my favorite Golf NYC courses.

Enjoyed the beautiful day, little slow, but enjoyable.

The course was in good shape and even though it was busy we still finished in 4 hours (probably because how short it is). If you play here make sure you go through golf now on the weekend or you will have to pay an additional $20 on top of the $50. This is not a $70 course, it doesn't even have any par 5s. I will play here again but only with a Hot Deal.

Had a 6:15 Tee Time. Was met by a couple of foxes as I entered the grounds from the parking lot. Wildlife. Cool. Apparently, they are a growing family of “regulars”. Kissena a is a short, hilly, well kept course that will test your shot making ability with different lies, elevation changes. The rough this morning was wet & thick. Greens in good condition. Place gets a massive amount of play, and is well maintained. My early morning round, as part of a twosome, was completed at 9am, yes, 2 hrs 45 mins. A rare thing of beauty.

Not bad for quick round, lot of par 3s greens a little beat up some interesting hole layouts

I have played this course once a week, 5 weeks now, every week it gets better & better. Hats off to the greenskeeper. The greens are difficult with this week’s pin placements the toughiest so far. I use iron primarily because it has tight fairways but I can get there in two. The ninth hole I pull a wood, long par 3, I want to get there in 1. Very enjoyable round.

I like to play this course, very enjoyable and challenging !!

I have played this “funky” small course several times this season. Yardage is short but uneven lies, uphill & downhill lies makes it successfully defensive. The mixed 2 level undulated greens are no bargain, land on the wrong level and you are given very difficult putts, 3 putts are not unusual. The fairway and greens are beautifully green this day, but what must be a scheduled sprinkler system made the fairways and rough, soggy in areas. Overall great course.

This course is pretty but pretty much a perfect fit for those golfers wanting to work on their par 3’s.

Not my style at all but I’d ok if you are looking for an inexpensive day under the sun.
