Glenisla Course

Thoroughly enjoyed my round of golf at Glenisla. The facilities are fantastic and the 9-hole Glenisla course is lovely to play. It’s a course suitable for a variety of skill levels. I played 18 holes here and could have played longer! Looking forward to a visit again in the future.

Great 9 Holes Shame it's not 18

Glenisla course once was once Glenisla golf club it was 18 holes with a clubhouse situated perfectly to view fellow golfers play their approaches to green. This is how I remembered playing it many years ago so it was sad to see things gave changed. The good news, the 9 holes that remain are of great quality, there refreshing, This is not a bomb the drive into a big field but more of game of chess, The holes balance the art of being fair, sure for the big hitters some greens invite you but theres trouble if you get it wrong. The course is well maintained, 9 holes are usually an after thought of most clubs but again I was pleased, I do have one niggle and that is the greens, or should I say the speed, they are not the fastest which makes reading them a challenge, so if I'm to give a tip it would be to bring your heavier headed putter. Overall a great course, great views and certainly one of the best 9 holes in the area.

Excellent 9 hole course

I can honestly say this is one of the most picturesque 9 hole course in Scotland .The condition of the course was excellent. People in the club house were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely re visit.

A little gem.

On a golfing holiday with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend we wanted to slip in 9 holes before the weekend rounds at Scotscraig and Arbroath. Found this little gem near us. We were all delighted with the course. Attractive, some interesting holes, condition was excellent and price excellent. Would definitely want to play the main 18 hole Alyth course next time. Couldn’t grade the off course amenities properly as we were in a rush hence mid grading, sorry!

Good Course

As the title says, good course. A decent level of golfer should have no problem round here. Playing the 9 twice obviously creates some congestion but wasn't a huge problem. Course is in good condition but it should be at this time of year i suppose. I would play again.

What a pity

Really unhelpful pro. The 9 hole course is laid out to replace the previous 18 but my Garmin still thought it was an 18 holer. The pro was unable or unwilling to tell me the new hole numbers so unable to guage any distances. Seems an obvious fault but the attitude of the pro was so casual I won't revisit it

Glen Isla course

We played the 9 hole course. Which was fine for an inexperienced group. Tee time was 18:20, we let 2 smaller groups play through and finished just after 9pm. Unfortunately the club house was shut and no facilities nearby.

The course itself was well kept and enjoyable

Hidden Gem, excellent value

Played this 9 hole course on a lovely sunny afternoon.

Fairways, greens all stunning condition.

By far the best 9 hole course I have played and is even up there with any other.course I have played including 18 holes on St Andrews courses where I live.

You won’t be disappointed, appreciate it’s cheaper as it’s only a 9 hole course but it’s worth every penny.

Was best £18 I have spent for a while !

Was staying in Forfar and just wanted a quick game.

It’s actually a long 9 holer as it has a par 5, 6 par 4s and 2 par 3s.

A few holes involving water of some sort as well.
