Piperdam Golf & Leisure Resort - New Course

There was about several booking at 1pm and a few guys probably members that were on the tee.

I really dont want to have to hook up with another person because there is to many booked at one perfered time. Do perfer playing on my own. 1pm then there was 2.30pm deal on app, could it not be done so there was 1pm 1.15pm 1.30pm and so on.

I read bad reviews but thought I would go for it anyway and it was fantastic, great course I. Great condition and fantastic value for money highly recommended

The course starts out with a part three over Water I saw two ball washers with nothing in them there is no water on the course. There is no facilities on the course which bothered my wife a tea boxes are in terrible shape, and the boxes that are used to fill divots on the tee have more grass in it than sand the greens or hard and slow because they’re furry the fairways have lots of weeds and the rough have lumps of grass because they haven’t mowed the rough in sometime the trolleys tops have been stolen so they give you broken down electric trolleys to use. I am 6 foot two and the handle for the trolley I used is located below my crotch. I felt like the hunchback of Notre Dame by the end of the day. It is obvious that the general manager is not a golfer.

We booked this on GolfNow and drove up from Saint Andrews because it was a 4 Star Pl. We paid 18 pounds which is 5 pounds. Too much. There is no facilities for women on the course. There is no water on the course except for irrigation. I rented a trolley that handle was lower than my junk. I feel like the hunchback of Notre Dame after walking that and pushing the trolley the greens are furry, and the tea boxes are in terrible shape with the boxes to fill in for divots had grass longer in the box then on the rough I would give it a two not four don’t go out of your way to play it.

Thw fairways and greens were in good condition, some of the tees were not. The fairway bunkers were deemedd unplayable due to their poor condition The starter highlighted this beforehand.

There were at least 3 holes where on finishing, it was not at all clear where the next tee was and you had to hunt for it. A simple, inexpensive sign would rectify that?

I was niot impressed by groundsraff ignoring my presence on one of the greens ( 13th or 14th?) and continuing to go round the perimeter of the green with a loud air blower. Very poor - a training issue?

Had a great experience on this course would definitely come back and staff are very friendly and very helpful and welcoming to all

Compare to even two years ago quality of the course has rapidly deteriorated I’m afraid. All bunkers GUR, weeds growing in them. Greens are patchy, bumpy, hairy and diseased looking. Signage to help with course layout non existent. Tee boxes uneven and scrappy. Feel sorry for member. Come on owners make it right with some investment.

I usually travel from Aberdeen and my dad from Glasgow to play at a halfway point. Unfortunately the worst greens I’ve experienced in a long time. Heavily sanded with likely diseased parts that render putts impossible to judge. Gouges 3-5mm deep all over (see images). Virtually all bunkers are full of stones and should be GUR.

Otherwise, tee boxes are fine, fairways quite good.

We spontaneously chose Piperdam because we were in the area! After reading the many negative reviews, our expectations weren't high. However, the welcome was very friendly, and the course proved to be extremely varied and in good condition. The greens weren't visually perfect, but they reliably got our putts in the hole! For this price, we've rarely played a nicer course!

Tees and greens in a terrible state very much in need of water and with a big lake in the middle of the course not much excuse

A nice course. Good parkland surroundings. Could be better maintained in terms of boundary fences and markers etc but absolutely fine for the price point.

Google maps directed to barn. Golf pro is at the main building.

Facilities were very good and staff were excellent.

I enjoyed playing the course very much. Only problems were on 13th and 14th which will be fixed shortly when new drainage is completed.

All in all, great value and very enjoyable.

Fantastic layout for a golf course. Lots of tricky holes on it. Beautiful views across the lake.

Good use of your longer clubs are required on this course. American guy in the starter box is very friendly and helpful.

Challenging course for the occasional golfer.

1st time playing, lessons learned for future rounds will pay dividends.

1st hole, par 3 over water is a great opening hole, likely more golf balls in the water than in every rough on Course......added 1 myself 🤣

Its a lovely little course and can be very tricky if you are not stright off the tee. Lots of water holes where you need to be accurate. Definitely worth a visit especially when the sunshine is out 🌞
