Gem - simple as that
GN managed to book us a time bang in middle of a member competition. Keep an eye on that if booking a Saturday! Anyways the pro was class and even the members we spoke to accepted it and off we went. Course a really good nick. Flat and fair. Ok has a par 3 at 235 yards but also some short par 4s. We wizzed round in less that 4 hours (given we was in middle of 4 balls) which was great. Zero negatives about this course. Anyone saying otherwise is a fool TBH. The members were happy to ask us how we did and were a good bunch. Some of the guys on committee we spoke to were great craic. Hidden Gem. Go visit.
Rain day out
The heavens opened but still had a great day. Rain went off after 8th and things improved. Greens absolutely beautiful credit to greens staff . Will be back again shortly
School kids
Enjoyed playing on this course however would make sure next time I'm not playing when the schools finish as school kids kept running out on front of me and trying to take my golf balls
Beautiful rolling greens
Awesome course easy walk ,variety of wonderful holes
Exemplary course
Great day had by all. Course in fantastic condition credit to green staff. Will be back
Nice course in good condition
Nice clubhouse friendly staff
Nice flat walk
Easy walk
Great not to have to climb hills. Lovely course in the middle of busy town. Had a lovely afternoon with my son who was visiting from Rome.
Nice Greens
Played for the first time today and enjoyed it. On the plus side greens in great condition and rolled true. Rough not to taxing and nice open fairways. Negative’s no signage to the next tee very confusing for a first time player. Tee boxes littered with old tees and they could do with a general tidy up the course really need to invest in little bins for old tees and also tee markers that aren’t just flat discs. I also got stuck behind a 3 ball who where playing at an ok pace but had an opportunity’s to let me through.
Good test
Bone dry from weeks without rain but the course in general, and greens in particular playing well. Fully booked and behind a foursome who hit every putt made it longer than it should have been but enjoyable for all that. Of course it rain on the last two !
Good value
First time playing this course. Over years many of my friends had recommended this course to me. My first impression was, I’d missed a trick here. The course was well presented and in good condition. The green are a joy. The pace of play was excellent as we at times struggled to find the appropriate tee. That could be avoided by better signposting, but that’s a minor point, that is not a major impediment
Overall, my friends and I would play here again. The members we met made us all feel very welcome. That is a large part of our overall positive review.
Nice but a mystery...
Nice course in excellent condition...fairways and greens superb...only downside was as it was our first time playing the signage on course was poor...hardly any signs showing you to next tees and on the tees it was discs that where flat. If it was the usual pegs as most courses have it would have been a lot easier to identify tees. Its an easy fix too. Would make the course so much more enjoyable. Great track though and friendly Pro and also bar staff.
Very enjoyable flat course with excellent maintained greens.
This course is on flat land and this makes it an enjoyable and not over challenging round. The greens were in pristine condition, running very fast given the dry spell at this time of year. Most golfers will enjoy how this course plays.
