About
Located just northwest of downtown Milwaukee, Washington County Golf Club (formerly known as Family Park Golf Course) feels much further thanks to its seclusion in the beautiful Kettle Moraine area. Arthur Hills designed the course, which is ranked second in the nation among municipal golf course in Golf Digest. The layout sprawls across wide-open, gently rolling terrain. The subtle contours of the landscape provide a few difficult lies and they can also make the greens hard to read but overall it is a course that most players can approach with confidence. Thanks to a versatile layout it appeals to a wide range of skill levels and it is an ideal spot for tournaments and events. Over the years Washington County Golf Club has hosted several championships including the U.S. Open Qualifying Round and the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

Great experience
I played terribly, but other than that, I really enjoyed the course. The layout provided good challenges, and the staff was super friendly. All around a great day.
Great day at Washington County
Beautiful day for golf and the course didn't disappoint. We like to come here as the course has always been in great shape.
Great overall facility
This course has amazing views and will test your skill level at all areas of your game.
Good course but...
Sent us off after a delay due to a usga event. You need to leave a gap behind that event so there isn’t a log jam on 1 and so the people in carts don’t wait for walkers all day. Course is in fine shape, great practice areas. The wind was a problem and can’t imagine it is ever calm out there with no terrain or trees to block it. Guy in the shop could be friendly, but knows he doesn’t have to be to keep his county job. Not worth 5.5 hrs to play.
Great Course
This course can be challenging but it is so fun to play. Great condition and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended.

Great spring day, breeze was up but fun and in nice condition.
Always a great course, stronger wind than usual (25-35 mph)
Just a little windier than usual in the aerated greens should’ve been in better shape but always a great course
Great course even for early in the season
Just love the layout of this links-flavored course, and the pace of play is always good. It normally gets a little expensive for non-county residents like me, but GolfNow made it much more affordable this time around.

Greens were recently aerated- a necessary evil. Other than that the course was in good early spring condition

Don't be fooled by my low rating of the conditions. It was early spring and nowhere near what I'm sure the normal conditions are. The conditions were really as to be expected for the time of year, I guess. The greens were recently aerated as well. Unfortunately I have yet to play here anytime other than spring, so I look forward to getting on later in the year when the conditions are likely much better.
a great links style course
Other than not being next to water, this is a fun links course. A stout wind made it challenging and fun trying to estimate effect on irons and especially par 3 distances. Played with an enjoyable father/son duo and had a great time. Thanks Mike and Kyle!
