Fairmont St. Andrews - The Kittocks Course

I walked off the course at the 5th Tee. My tee time was 11.50 and I was advised that the group in front of me had started 20 minutes before I did. They were in the middle of the second fairway when I walked onto the second tee. Their was two/three groups in front of them. I should never been allowed to go out as a single player. The staff in the pro shop were not interested and said play was on time. That was total lies. I paid £120.00 for 4 holes. They phoned me at 2pm and offered me to come back the same day. I was going out for dinner at 6pm. All I asked was to give me a voucher to return. I am not excepting this and would appreciate your assistance.

Class as always for £60 in November at 15 degrees sun out you cannot beat this the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars on all categories is that it’s not summer or the greens would be perfect all in all you won’t get any better for this time of the year

All amenities were 5star and staff were friendly…. The course layout was as good as any Linux course I’ve played with stellar views and huge risk reward holes.

Wonderful course! Location and scenery are perfect, course is tough but extremely well kept!

This course is a true test of golf! We were unable to get on the Old Course but I found this on GolfNow! I would recommend booking a cart in advance as they are limited. No caddies available, I believe because none would be willing to walk this course for a living ! lol Very hilly with many blind shots, required excellent ball striking, But was truly rewarding experience. We played Dornoch, Troon and Carnoustie, and this was probably my favorite! Best of luck!

Course was great staff not so pleasant or informative . I rented clubs and bought a box of titles pro v1’s 60$ assuming golf balls were nit included with the rental clubs . I found they did provide balls with the rental club’s .I only used the balls provided for the round and upon completing the round tried to get refunded for the PV1’s. I used none of the balls all in original boxing and they would not refund the balls . They should have informed me I had balls or refunded the PV’s. Left with a bad taste about policy and inattentive staff . Too policy driven not friendly

Got the teatime through golf now pretty last minute, had the course to ourselves!

Fantastic service initially from the pro shop and had a great round- course in great condition, greens firm and true.

Overall, super impressed and a bargain compared to other courses in the area

Let down slightly by the poor attitude when trying to get something to eat after the round- I understand the kitchen is closed due to renovation but to not have any crisps or peanuts (or anything!) was not great.

I’m golfing terms though, hard to beat.

The course over all was in good condition considering the time of year I would say the greens were in very good condition and pretty fast, considering the amount of times the course gets played over the course of the year. it is a good reflection on the work undertaken by the greens staff throughout the year. I would like to say as we checked in the staff were very friendly and gave some good advice about the layout of the course

This Is the 3rd time I’ve played the Kittocks over the last 2 years. I have loved every round. Facilities have got everything you need to practice or warm up before a round. The course layout and location are second to none.

The course is challenging and the rough is not to severe so that when you go slightly off line you don’t instantly lose a ball as you would at most other courses in the area.

Some fantastic holes with great coastal views.

I think this is the most underrated course in the area. Value for money I would put this top of the list of course around St Andrews.

Only down side bar staff did not want to serve me after my evening round even though there were other guests still drinking and dining in club house.

Course was in fabulous condition for the time of year, playing more like early summer than early spring. Blue skies and sunshine always help, but fantastic for the time of year. Staff were friendly on arrival, and Stuart gave us a good overview of the course before heading out. I had a slight issue with signal drop out when booking which resulted in me booking the 2 ball twice, contacted golf now and Ben who was dealing with the issue was fantastic and had it sorted with no hassle and the card refunded with the overpayment. 10/10 for the course and 10/10 for golf now. Thanks to all who made this a fantastic experience for us.

What a great course from start to finish it was a great morning off golf from the staff in the starter shop to the course and the greens were spot on roll on my next visit

Stunning views , spectacular holes and in great condition for November . Friendly and accessible . Great buggy tracks .

Course was excellent . Facilities, food was non existent. Toilets on site required cleaning.

Played course for 1st time loved it

Only down side clubhouse wasn’t open for food.
