Great Course Great Value

If you want to play a true links course this is the one. I played it twice and found the layout varied and challenging.

Kittocks gets better

Over the last 10 years I have played this course 5, or 6 times going back to the original Devlin course layout. Every time I play it it gets better and better. This year the greens were the best I have ever seen them, well paced and true. The addition of railway sleepers in the face of some of the fairway bunkers is attractive and helps to frame the hole. Look forward to playing the Torrance next time round.

Kittocks

Loved playing this course, great condition and scenery beautiful. Had a slow 4 ball in front but they let us play through at 3rd hole so after that pace was fine. Would definitely recommend to other golfers.

Locker Room getting tired

Had a great day playing the Kittocks course at the Fairmont St Andrews. Some marvellous holes with spectacular views across the bay. When we finished our round we planed to have a quick shower, but unfortunately there were no towels available. I asked in the pro shop and after around a 10 min wait, still nothing. I asked again and was told they couldn't reach housekeeping and were then planning to go themselves to collect, which would have been at least another 15mins. The locker room/shower area was looking a bit grubby anyway, so we decided not to wait and went on our way. Apart from that, all good.

Fantastic location, great golf course

I had played the Torrance course two years ago, and had thought - as it had not been used to stage tournaments - that the Kittocks might be inferior. It certainly isn't. There are some very clever 'risk and reward' holes and the views are spectacular. A very stiff breeze (at least 'two clubs') added to the challenge. Staff in the pro shop were very friendly too.

Kittocks Course St. Andrew's

What a great experience! If it's your first time playing this course, forget the power cart or( buggy as called in the UK) & walk the course and get a caddy. The caddy is worth the $ and will save you strokes.

Beautiful views on a lovely day

The course is normally very good. You can choose your level of challenge by playing from a wide range of different tees. For my round, there was lots of unrepaired pitch marks and some of the fairways are getting redone.

Golfing at st andrews

An excellent interesting course, views over the cliffs for a lot of the holes. not a links course completely different soil and grass more like an inland feel. the holes were longer than those around st Andrews. a good challenge

Great Winter Golf

Cold but bright winter's day made for such an enjoyable round at the Kittocks. Staff were very friendly and gave us all the information we needed. We were never pressured nor did we catch up with anyone in front. Greens were superb and a bonus in the area not to have to play off Mats. Highly recommend a round here for winter - top value for money!

Amazing

If you are planning to visit Fairmont St Andrews (And you should) you simply have to play this Course. The Torrance 18 is OK but The Kittocks is on another level. A couple of ordinary Par 3 holes but that this it. The rest range from good to great to spectacular.
