Great course, typical James Braid design. Well maintained. Friendly pro shop staff.
Even though it was mid December the course was in good condition. Soft under foot due to heavy rain the previous few days but dry during round. Every green was on and were in good condition. The members were friendly. James in the shop was friendly and welcoming. Great course layout, typical James Braid design, stunning tree lined fairways. This will be a great challenge in spring/summer. Fully recommend this course. A joy to play.
wishaw golf couse
i played this couse many years ago. today the coure was saturated, but the greens were in good condition. the last three courses i have played. their has been no toilet facillities. or snackes available. i know the current problems. but after a thee hour round of golf. you expect. toilet facillities. but asw i say, this, is not just at this venue.
very wet under foot
A great course but very boggy underfoot. Ball plugged on the fairways.
Lovely layout but heavy underfoot
This was our first visit to wishaw and we really enjoyed it despite the rain and the heavy underfoot conditions
The course is a lovely lady out and would definetly play again when drier.
Nice course, friendly staff -well worth a visit
Pleasant, tree lined, parkland course. Fairly flat, with the back 9 being the.more interesting. Recent heavy rain had made it a wee bit soggy in places but greens were in very good condition if a little slow.
Professional and bar staff were friendly and welcoming and although catering was supposed to be closed for the day (a Wednesday) kitchen staff went out their way to provide us with a bite to eat.
Great course & excellent conditions
Thoroughly enjoyed our round, given the rain we have had the fairways were still very firm and greens quick. Would definitely visit again.
Always a pleasure
I have played this course numerous times often tempted to take out a membership after every round.
Some extremely interesting holes, very well maintained and a joy to play.
Upon arrival I was informed by man in shop my booking thru golf now had been changed to a 4 ball & to play alongside two strangers. When I said I wasn't happy about this he then said we hurried we could tee off in 5 minutes which meant we had to rush. No practise putting,no loosening up.11.30 tee time but had to tee off @ 11.14. The man said golf now could do this. I.e make ur 2 ball into a 4 ball. If this is the case i wont be booking a round thru golf now again. Also while we were playing green keepers were constantly cutting grass all over the course. Really annoying, wont be playing there again. Thank you.
Really enjoyed everything about the day. Course, staff and conditions all superb. Will definitely play again
A fantastic course which I can’t wait to play again. Considering how wet it’s been recently the greens were in fantastic condition.
Great course and we enjoyed our round. Would like to play again when it dries up as very wet in parts. Slow play was also an issue.
Overall course is in good condition , all the greens are spiked but running fairly true and fast. Beware of the added danger of having to deal with the local neds at the 11th green / 12th fairway , quite intimidating if playing solo.
