Great Course
As always, a great course to play in the Northwoods. For August, it’s still in great shape and the staff is professional and friendly. I would strongly recommend this course.
Fantastic Course
This course is absolutely amazing! One of the best courses I have played this summer. It was in great shape, challenging and easy to walk. Everyone in my group had a great experience.
Brian's Review
Great mix of wooded and open fairways. Course ranger on staff to ensure pace of play. Deceptive greens that are challenging yet fair.
Fun layout, better conditions
Just got back from our week long vacation in Northern Wisco. Wow, awesome golf courses cut through the woods all over this area. We tried out as many as we could and they are all a hoot to play. St. Germain is a tight course with some careful tee off's on maybe 6 or 7 holes, after that there is some room to work the ball. We played mid-morning and were treated to a fresh fairway mowing and overall marvelous conditions. Everything was crisp and lush. Greens are sneaky with speed, great pace for our group. Head pro Tom was very helpful and saw him out on the course at times checking in with other staff. Food was just what we needed at the turn, simple tasty menu with great beers (loved the chili dogs). We'll be back next summer!
Terrific Condition
The course is terrific condition. The greens and fairways are A++
Always well maintained
This is now the third leg of our northern loop which starts up at Marquette for Greywalls and Heritage then George Young, after that our weekend ends with St. Germain. Some of the best variety of golf can now be found this far north. Conditions and yearly improvements are what keep us coming back. Fun layout that has really been taken to the next level the last five or so years. As already mentioned, the busy vacation season displays some cart traffic and poor etiquette habits. After the round we make sure to head over for smoked BBQ in Arbor Vitae near 51/70, delicious. Thanks for another great round!
ST Germain
This is an excellent course that presents a great challenge. Tree lined fairways, tough par 3s good layout in very good condition. It's not an easy course you can score but if you are not striking it well it can get tough. Will always come back to play here.
A really nice northwoods course
St Germain is scenic, challenging but fair. Good pace to the greens, which were in very good condition. The course gets a lot of play so you will find some ball marks and tee boxes are occasionally beat up, but never too bad.
