Fairways had thick Bermuda, going dormant, but great to play from. Photo submitted by mTTNqYkYWbhBo4Ci2qpK on 12/05/2022

Great course close to Tallahassee. Quiet, beautiful golf course!
First time playing this course as I got a $10 hot deal for 8AM. Course was great! The course is set by itself for the most part so it was very quiet and had a very nice North Florida scenery. The tee boxes were about average, fairways were fantastic, and the greens were very good looking. There was some soggy areas throughout the course and there were just a few greens that were very wet but otherwise course conditions are great.
There are no bathrooms on the course other than the clubhouse. I did not see a cart girl but there was water on some of the holes. The Course Guide at the pro shop is worth asking for as it has hole by hole tips and maps.
This is about 30 mins from downtown Tallahassee so I wouldn't mind driving the extra distance to play here. Well worth the price and the course was fun.
very relaxing round
had a quite round. Weather and Course was wonderful.
Good for $20 or less
Very nice layout, bunkers is very playable shape, and enjoyable round of golf. Greens were very shaggy and slow. They had nice shape could be fun when running faster. Only major complaint was the crest on tee boxes. Hard to find a level place.
For $20 or less with a cart you will be very happy.
Great course for a Sunday morning.
Not overly crowded. Greens somewhat inconsistent-some hard, others spongy. Good pace of play for a hot day.
Good course, needs a little work though
I only gave this course a 3/5 because of the greens. There were several dead spots and they were not very smooth. Cost me a couple strokes. The rest of the course is great though.
Quincy CC - challenging but fun
Lots a serious elevation changes, starting with the first hole. The fairways are in good shape but the rough was ankle deep and hard to hit out of (lost several balls in the fairway rough). The greens were in good shape but slow due to a lot of recent rain. Saw an albino squirrel too! Fun course to play and definitely worth the drive from Tallahassee (40 minutes from mid-town).
Unique gem of a course in North Florida.
The Golf Club of Quincy offers unique challenges not normally found in Florida. The designer purposely crafted the course to reflect the natural terrain and require minimal maintenance by utilizing mostly native plants. The current management team is operating the course in a manner consistent with the intentions of the designer. I played in a foursome on a sunny 83 degree day with wind steady 8 mph and gusting to 25. The course was in pretty good shape. Three greens had been recently patched and were heavily sanded. Two tee boxes were under repair. The surroundings were still in spring color with azaleas, dogwoods, and wildflowers in bloom. The greens were not as fast as usual after a thorough watering. The fairway were firm and fast.
This course plays differently than most due to the clay in the soil. The fairways are fast and firm. The bunkers have a clay/sand mix that causes shots to fly long or not clear the lip. This is by design. It is not meant to mimic most "normal" courses.
Drive a little further and enjoy a unique course.
Typical Florida course
I was quite surprised when they told me it was "all you can play" day so was able to play some of the holes over (the surprise holes). No course map so there were some of those. Very quiet, wildlife was a nice touch. Small alligator and about 8 turtles were part of the scenery as were many, different to me, birds
greens
The course is nice but the greens are a little messed up on quite a few holes, not terrible could just use some work.
Great Value
Can't beat this course when it comes to value. Great course for the price.
Greens were not good
The greens were some of the worst greens I have ever played on. Sand all over them and needed cut badly. There was no warning by the staff either. It would have been nice for them to mention it so we were not surprised when we reached the first green.
fun course
This is a fun challenging course with a restaurant with good food. The greens need improvement nut it appears they are working hard to better the course.
Cheap but you get what you pay for
We paid 10 bucks each for a foursome. Drove half an hour to get there. Course layout was interesting and provided some challenging holes, but the greens we all absolutely atrocious.
Many of the greens had giant patches, others were covered in mud balls and rocks, and anything near a water hazard squished under our feet.
All in all, for 10 dollars it was nice, but I wouldn't pay more than that to play it again.
Greens need help
The course was not crowded. Fairways were good if not a little thick. The sand traps are clay based on most holes. at least 12 of the greens had sod patches were they had been repaired and #13 has a temporary green which was one of the better Ive seenEven though its only about 6 miles from where I live, I probably will wait awhile before going back. Tee boxes were in good shape
The course has great elevation changes
I have played the course several times, however, I not played with since July. They have over-seeded the greens.
great course and great Price
I loved this course. It was a tad hard to find because it was out there. But everything was wide open. Tons of elevated tee shots over water and large valleys. We played from the men's tees and I felt the course played pretty long, but then I'm not that great. The greens were over seeded but they played really well. None of then were flat and putting was a challenge because there was so much break. With that said they played pretty true. When we went there was almost no one on the course. Make sure to bring your lunch cause they shutdown after 2 and we didn't have any cart girls drive by durning mid week.
