great layout and great people
You can't beat the price this time of the year. I would play this again and again
Great value
Competitive rate for an extended holiday weekend. Wet conditions created cart path only rule so play was slow. The course was in great shape given all of the recent rain, however.
Greens in excellent shape. Course doesnt drain well
We played a 5 hour round today. fairways were sloppy from recent rains but most other local courses drain well. Love the layout and challenge. staff always friendly and greens were rolling great today. Better drainage solutions and this one is an easy 5 star.
Good for the money but they don’t like kids playing.
Played this course a few times years ago when they first opened. Was extremely hard. Still need to know the member bounces but not as hard as before. The only problem I have is I was told next time if I buy a hot buy sale tee time I’ll be put with another group. No problem playing solo I’d expect that. But don’t tell me if I want to ride in one cart with my 7 YEAR OLD son I’ll have to pay for him to play as well. Plenty of other places to play that love to have kids and won’t charge as if he’s an adult playing.
Best semi-private best kept secret south of Atlanta
I’ve been playing Summergrove for the last 3-4 years. Although I’m not a member now, I have been in the past and would still be if I weren’t moving out of state. Great membership value, great clubhouse, pro shop, and bar. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Golf course is always in great shape, I don’t like it when the greens are aerated, but I know its necessary. Course plays well for all golfing levels. On the down side, weekends are busy so play is slow, but that is to be expected for the best semi-private club in the metro Atlanta area. Also there are a couple of fairways that tend to get a little flooded after a heavy rain, but, they recover fairly quickly. May seem a little pricey for some, but you can’t find a better course in metro Atlanta.
Summer Grove is always a great time
Great layout and got paired up with two great guys! Course is always good and greens were rolling nice. Two things for me. The Golfnow told us that it was that time because you were punching. I wish I would have known before because playing all 18 was the goal and we could only play the back and not both sides. I get it but I would have reconsidered if I had known. Bob in the pro shop is the man. Had a change of plans and Bob worked with me. I appreciate that alot. A must play in the southwest section of Atlanta. You cannot go wrong here!!!!!
Coming along nicely
Old management was awful and could care less for the golf course. It had gotten really bad. Best thing owners could have ever done was bring Wyatt in. Doing a great job getting course back in shape. Great course especially for being public and getting a ton of play being one of only 2 public courses in newnan. Course is in the best shape it’s been in in 3-4 years.
Summer grove
Great course for the price. Good mix of challenging holes and a few par 3's. I was in town on business so didn't have clubs and there rental price of 25 dollars for a decent set was very fare. Friendly staff, fully stocked pro shop and nice bar. Greens were in great shape I would recommend playing here as after as possible. Played it twice in two weeks and had a great time. Great place to enjoy a round!
