Tee boxes need help
The layout makes the course very challenging and the greens are in great shape but the tee boxes need some attention but very nice golf course overall for the price
Coweta Club - Improving - Greens Definitely Worth Another Chance
Played course a number of times, yes past reviews were correct on how bad greens were. However recently played and was amazed how much greens had improved and filled in from rough condition they were in last summer. They just fertilized greens and punched so they should come back even better. Also have done better job cleaning up course i.e. sticks, leaves, pine straw etc. Suggestions - Would also like to see a some focus on fertilizing and watering fairways. Tee boxes need work over seeding or sodding.
With much better greens currently and a bit more work this course is tough but no layout like it on south side, could be a real jewel. Definitely worth giving another chance at playing.
Winter rules still in play
This is a very challenging course. The course was still wet frim the recent rain deluge but played very well. It is a links type course meandering through a beautiful neighborhood. None of the holes were flat and neither were there green making shot selection mandatory. I would definitely play this course again and foresee it becoming more challenging as the spring season approaches.
Greens
Haven’t seen the greens this good in years - even in the summer.
. Basically an unplayable course
Course needs closed down for a year and do major work on greens and fairways . This is basically and unplayable course for anyone that really plays golf. Closing will help you to make more.money aftwards because you won’t get any return players either how bad this course is.
Great course layout…but needs TLC
Love the course and it setting, however greens are in terrible condition, most tee boxes not much better
Worst conditions I have played in all year
This course needs some major renovation and TLC. The greens were un-puttable. I had to chip it on the green if I was more than 10 feet away. Fairways were mostly crab grass and dirt.
Horrible!
This was by far the worst course that I have ever played. The greens are horrible with barely any grass. The clubhouse looks abandoned. The staff was not very friendly. Will never play this course again.
Good layout, poorly kept.
The tee boxes are terrible - not level and hard as a rock in many places. No grass whatsoever elsewhere on the tee boxes. The greens are the worst I’ve played with weeds and clumps everywhere. All greens are postage stamps. Otherwise, the layout is fun with some good natural elements. If it were cared for I’d probably be a regular.
Disappointed
This course at one time was premier. That time has passed. All greens are gone. Most tee boxes are trash. Fairways are bare and hard in places. Cart paths are all but impassable. Nowhere near worth the price. It’s a shame this course has fallen into this shape because the layout is great. Very challenging if it’s in good shape but in its current condition it’s impossible. Too bad.
Greens were horrendous
This was my first time playing this course and to say that I was disappointed is an understatement. The layout of the course was great and challenging. However not a single green was in good shape. The practice putting green was in better shape then the greens on the course. Also no restaurant nor refreshments or food even available on the course through cart service. Overall very disappointed.
DO NOT PLAY
Simply put this was the worst I have ever seen a course. I paid $65 to play. I feel like there should be a disclaimer warning you about how horrible the greens are. The layout and design were good. This course would have been fun to play even if it were in an ok condition. The people behind the counter were great.
Run down
The course feels run down, over grown vegetation, couldn’t tell if they were losing the greens or getting them back. Greens are terrible, what little grass they did have was weed filled. Fairways hadn’t been cut, bunkers were bad.
Coweta Club Has Gone to 💩
Almost everything about this course has degraded to almost a 0/10 rating. From the tee boxes to the greens there’s nothing nice about it. Fairways are grown up, greens are a quarter grass and three quarters black moldy spots making them basically unputtable. Also had to help the one employee working pull carts up to the clubhouse just to get him to unlock and get range balls (which are the worst range balls you have ever seen). Overall terrible course now which is really unfortunate. Pace of play was great cause there was NO ONE there…for obvious reasons lol.
Terrible
I give the course a shot every 6 months or so. Most tee boxes are still dirt, the greens are dirt, and the cart died on hole #2 for a new record, as they usually die around the turn. Luckily the staff answered the phone and brought a new cart, because they haven’t in the past.
