Lost Marsh Golf Course

The course layout is great and the course was in excellent condition. The first five holes are probably the most difficult being water on each. Which challenges your accuracy and when to lay up on some shots. I will play this course again soon

First five holes and hole 10 have plenty of water, if you can survive these holes one can score well. I was surprised with the rolling terrain and the modern undulating greens. Course conditions were perfect. Must play for all golfers.

Outstanding course, very tough. It was in great condition, with new sand in the traps. If you survive the first 5 holes unscathed, you can go low. Otherwise, bring extra balls

Course is in good shape and the layout & routing are challenging while being fair but they consistently have a slow pace of play problem. I give them a chance nearly every year but just can't recommend Lost Marsh unless you're ok with 5 hour rounds. The two groups in front of us had a gap in front of them but no consideration for us to play through. Worse, they looked like regulars or members with their logo hats and shirts. In peak season this will only get worse.

Challenging, well-maintained course just over the IL/IN border. Lots of water, elevation changes, etc. Staff was friendly, carts were electric and had GPS.

I'll happily make the drive for $50 w/ cart, immense value vs. similarly priced IL muni courses that are in terrible shape.

Wanted to give up after the 4th hole 🤦🏾‍♂️, but kept going. The slopes and bad lies can bring you to your knees, but the challenge of hitting them straight was intriguing. Considering its reputation, I only lost about 5 or 6 balls...which ain't bad for a novice golfer. Still was able to par and hit for par a few times. Beautiful layout which I'm sure gets even more beautiful as the season progresses. The wind was crazy, but you can actually score well on this course. Despite the weather having been wet lately the fairways were fairly good. My balls actually got some bounce which is an attestment to the draining of the course. Can't wait to return.

Course is great. Affordable close to the city. Greens are slow but it’s early in the year. Otherwise course was in very good condition.
