Prairie Landing

About
Prairie Landing Golf Club has received acclaim ever since first opening in 1995, including a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest. This West Chicago course will make you feel as though you've been transported to a seaside links course in Ireland. The prairie-style layout closely follows the tradition of classic links golf courses. Robert Trent Jones II designed the course, fully utilizing the rolling terrain. He incorporated large, undulating greens and rolling bent grass fairways. Vast swaths of native grasses stretch along the fairways and strategically placed bunkers frame the greens. There is also contoured mounding to contend with. The golf course finishes with a memorable par 5 that features fairway bunkers on the left followed by a carry over a lake to a well protected, high bowled green. Prairie Landing also boasts a practice facility that includes a driving range with target greens, four practice holes, and a nine-hole chipping and short-game area.

awesome
This is one of my Favorites and it was it great shape eventhough we have drought conditions. Greens and fairways were soft and green, and the greens were true and scorable. Great job guys see ya soon!!
First Time Playing
The course was in great shape. Fairways were lush and the greens were outstanding. I played at 11am on a Friday and never had to wait for the group in front of us. The course was challenging, but fair. The 12th was a par 3 that took a 200 yard shot over water—which is more difficulty that I was expecting. The back 9 has three par 3’s and three par 5’s which is a unique setup. The course is near a private airstrip but the small planes that flew by throughout the round were not a distraction—they actually strangely added to the ambiance. This was my first round here and I will definitely be coming back.
Top notch
Well manicured course, friendly staff and steady pace of play all contribute to a strong experience at Prairie Landings. A challenging layout with a variety of holes on this Robert Trent Jones course all enhanced the experience.
Awesome Course
Had a great round of golf and was one of my favorite courses I’ve played.
Water jugs were empty. Otherwise course was great!
Top 3 IL public course
This place can’t be beat in the West Burbs.
It’s only rivals in the IL public course scene are Mistwood and Glen Club.
It has the nicest practice facility I’ve ever seen, the layout is awesome and challenging.
It’s truly a gem and worth the money!
Fun track
First time out and glad we played with someone who’d been before for some tips off the tee. Driving range is off the mats.
