Golf Club of Houston - Member Course

Course well kept. Nice layout. Good value for money !

I have volunteered at The Golf Club of Houston for the Shell tournament for many years . The Course I believe is the Best in Houston . The course is Scenic with perfect fairways ,bunkers , and greens . Having said that about the course sadly I was disappointed with the customer service . On the 6th hole our cart stopped working . I immediately called the club house . Ten minutes pass no replacement . I call again . 20 minutes pass no replacement. I continue calling the club house and the lady answering seemed confused as to weather someone is coming or not . Finally after calling 5 times and waiting 45 minutes watching group after group pass us we received a new cart . From a customer service perspective from a course that charges what this course does they need to be better . I will be back because the course is Amazing but a great course with poor service will lose business over time . Hopefully it was just an exception to how things normally work . Thanks Will Mattern

It is a great course and a fair fun challenge. Signature hole 18th is every bit as hard as it looked on TV. For the money, aim for a twilight round if you are not a low handicapper that can handle the demands of tactical tee shots. .

A bit wet after massive rain on Saturday night. Course is great and greens fantastic. Pace of play today was not good.

I do not recommend this Course neither Golf Now ...It Rained after a few holes and neither the Golf Club nor GolfNow wanted to give me a refund nor a raincheck. The Staff at the golf club was even worse.

ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT RECOMNEND

Greens are true and fast in perfect condition.

5 hour play was a little slow.

Staff brought cart to parking lot and loaded bags for us, check in was easy and range was perfect shape. The many sand bunkers strategically placed kept us on our toes. Pace of play was great (18holes-3hr 10min.). The greens were in really good shape.

The course has a excellent layout and fairly wide-open. greens were in fantastic condition for this time of year we played after a pretty good rain so it was soft. Course plays a whole lot better firm and fast I imagine. Practice facilities were shut down for over seeding so that was a bummer

Great course, great conditions. Staff wasn't very friendly, in a not really attentive way. Just didn't get a good vibe. Advice you have a great product get staff that is equal to the product

My favorite track in Houston. Can get busy, is difficult, but worth it.
