Refused rain check
It was 93 or 94 degrees out and very humid. Despite drinking plenty of water and Gatorade, I was feeling under the weather by the turn and h. ad to sit in the restaurant to cool down. I didn't feel good and asked if my partner and I could get a rain check for the back 9 as I wasnt going to be able to go back out and finish the round.
When I asked if the club could offer us rain checks because I was unwell, the assistant said blankly 'No'. I asked if he needed to ask the Pro if we could be accommodated, he just said 'No'. He sai "No one else had asked for a rain check' and left the desk area. No manners, no civility - it felt like we'd asked him to cut his hand off.
Not a good advert for the club and thoroughly disappointing.
Terrible pace of play
Course was in good condition though fairways were too wet and couldn’t get any roll. Greens were in great shape.
Pace of play was terrible even when a caddie was mandatory. The guys ahead of us took all the time in the world on the greens.
Our caddie, Dwight, did and amazing job and was great reading greens. That’s the reason for the 5 star staff friendliness.
Nice course.
Course is lovely. Bad time of year to play though. No carts allowed on due to upcoming PGA event.
Great course but cart path only before the PGA tournament
I knew that they kept the carts on the path before the tournament but I didn't realize the tournament had been moved to October. So for around we had to stay cart path only. Are other issues were mainly because the day we shoot up the grill was not open and also they close the turn building at about 2:30 so since we were playing in the afternoon we were not able to eat before around or get anything when we made the turn.
The course itself was awesome.
Excellent Golf
Excellent conditions . Forecaddie Preston was very helpful . Fully enjoyed the round of golf
Good
Quality experience at the price point I got ($55). Pro Shop staff not very helpful only thing.
Good course
Course is preparing for the Houston Open. 100 degree temperatures but played in less than 3 hours. Bottles of water in the cart. Range balls are excellent quality. White tees it’s a birdie feast. Blue tees require long irons into greens. Championship tees it’s another world
It was a nice layout for all skill levels. The course is in good conditions and the greens are not as fast as I expected from a PGA Tour course.
Everything else is very nice too and definitely worth playing this course.
Tee boxes
The course was in great shape which was expected with the tournament approaching. My only complaint would be the tee boxes. I played the blue tees which weren’t marked very well on most holes. Other than that it was fun to play as the stands & suites were under construction. Would play again!
GREAT Course
Pace of play was not good. Waited for every shot. By 18, there was 4 groups on the hole. Didn’t receive the GolfNow discount at the course.
Course was in great shape and stuff was very nice.
hot on houston
hot day tees were moved up course in great condition back nine was backed up lots of groups golfers on Thursday afternoon i would highly recommend this course!!!
Best Public Access Course in Houston
From arrival to the parking lot staff friendliness and amenities in the proshop and grill were A+++.
Drink prices pre-round were reasonable and cheaper than many similar courses in the area, bring extra $$ for the comprehensive proshop.
Range balls included in the round started the day nicely as the practice facilities offered everything you could need preround.
Course was challenging but fair, lots of water and bunkering, but approaches from the rough were not impossible.
Greens were trickey.
Very cool to get a round in in the ramp up to the Last Houston open that will be held here, it was cool to see the stands being assembled near the greens.
good times
keep it in the short grass use an app or get a yardage book course knowledge is key great layout tee to green excellent highly recommend this course to anyone .. love the practice area excellent enjoy great facility !!!
