The Bridges Golf Club

About
The Fred Couples Signature course is the centerpiece of the Bridges at Preston Crossing. The golf course sprawls across rolling hills that most don't associate with north Texas. Mature trees dot the lush meadows, sliced with ribbons of tall native grasses. The parkland layout has a fair amount of challenges and it is especially tough on a windy day. There are subtle but tricky contours thanks to the undulating landscape and several strategically placed bunkers lurk throughout. Water is not too much of a threat on this golf course, except for the memorable finishing hole. This beastly par 5 lays measures 645 yards and wraps around a massive water hazard. The Bridges is a local favorite because not only is it a challenging round, it is also an affordable one.

Great Course
Good Layout and in good shape.
Challenging Greens but in good condition
Excellent course to spend time on
The Bridges golf club is beautiful, staff is fantastic but golf was slow the day we played. 3 separate tees in a group of three backed up more than a dozen groups behind. An assertive Marshal would have alleviated the problem with active pace management, but I don't manage courses for a living.
They even recovered and secured a left-behind rangefinder. Top notch team!
Wow. Loved it
Found one of these golf pass value rounds and figured I would make the 2 plus hour drive out here to check it out and the course did not disappoint. Shot one of my best rounds in a while out here playing from the blues. 3 over 75. Greens at the time were really firm, but they rolled true and I had 23 putts for the entire round. They have tons of risk reward holes. There was par 4 hole 6 that I hit my 3 hybrid on the green. It was playing like 250 but the wind was helping. Their signature hole has to be 18. It’s really a hole that you want to take on the water to go after the Eagle, but you need to carry it 260 plus to get into that landing zone. Best advice I can give you for this course is to hit your spots and you’ll play well.
Returning after a few years
2 players on a Thursday mid day had an easy four hour round.
Every fairway and green was filled in , not a bad spot to see. Bunker conditions were very playable.
Thanks
Pretty great
Ive started playing here at least twice a month because it’s my favorite!
I always get $40-50 deals here and $30-40 deals at another course equidistant from my house. I feel rich when I play here! And then I feel fortunate to play here after the $30 location 🤣
Always a challenge
I love this course. The Bridges to me is everything you want in a course. Challenging layout. Value for the price you pay. Pace of play. Amenities, friendly staff. They pretty recently punched the greens here, but they are recovering nicely. The greens will make you pull your hair out if you don't/can't putt well, but they roll true. We saw the cart girls multiple times per 9. The only negative I would say and I'm the idiot that paid for it. $5.41 for a bag of 10 tees. That's just criminal. But if that's what keeps the green fees low out here, hey, I'll take it. There are worst courses in the DFW area that charge much more.
Very nice course;friendly pro shop personnel
Pace of play was really slow for first 4 holes as a 3-some was very slow and basically unaware. Fortunately, we were able to play through on the 4th hole and then the pace of play was excellent.
I like this course and will play again! Mostly wide open fairways with strategic bunkering. Fairly long, fairways were in good shape. Greens were undulating and challenging; rolled fast and true.
Need a Marshall
Course is in good shape and good layout. Our 4some played front 9 in under 2 hours, but on #10 caught up to 4some that was extremely slow- they had 2 holes in front of them open. Standing and waiting on every shot in 98 degree heat is brutal. During week they still need Marshall to get these groups to speed up!
The Bridges was a Treat!
This is the first time I played The Bridges since 3 weeks after it opened. I'm less than 30 minutes away and wonder why I haven't played here since! The course was in great shape and the staff was phenomenal. Pace of play was excellent as we played in just under 4 hours and 20 minutes. Perfect for a Sunday! We will be back for sure!!
Great Course! Really enjoyed it. The greens had just been punched so were still very bumpy. That was the only thing that I wasn’t happy about. Everything else was great. Need to come back when the greens are back to normal because they said they usually roll around an 11! And hole 18 was one of the coolest hole designs I’ve ever played!
