What has happened!?
Paradise was my favorite course, very relaxed and fun. Staff were very friendly and the course was in great condition. Today everything was the opposite, fairways where the grass is so long you can lose your ball. More of the greens are in poor shape than not. There was another couple ahead of us who drove off the course in the middle of their round and said they were going to ask for their money back. Can’t justify paying for this, they need to get it under control before we come back!
Tall grass
The rough is not being cut due to mechanical issues. The greens are getting better but some are still in need of repair. Was debating being a seasonal member but will not commit till we see improvements,
Avoid this course
This course is a mess. They have not mowed the rough in over a month. You have a 5% chance of finding your ball if you hit into the rough. Even when the get a mower, they will need to bail the grass otherwise it would be even worse.
The fairways are hit and miss with decent grass. The greens are shaggy with bare spots. The seventh holes green is unusable. Putting on the fairway would be easier.
This information should be listed on GolfNow before you make a reservation.
Rough Shape
We play paradise often and the staff is wonderful but this time the course was in pretty bad shape. Their mowers were down so the rough was 8 inches high and if you missed a fairway, you’d never find your ball several groups we spoke with complained about the condition also several greens And a fairway had been destroyed by fungus.
Course needs help
course was in great shape before the draught killed the grass and heavy rain washed the ground base away. It will take awhile for the course to recover. A lot of tees and greens are in bad shape.
No warning
At least two holes out of 12 were closed or under sever repair. That is ok but no one warned me prior to booking tee time or teeing off on 12 th. No signs no direction on the course as how to proceed. We love this course normally. But was not prepared for its current condition.
Wait till course conditions improve!
Got to the course and was informed that holes 4 and 7 were under repair along with the greens being aerated. The tee boxes were all in poor shape along with most of the greens being just fertilized as there was a lot of dead spots. Hole # 4 was all torn up and you were hitting off a mat approximately 60 yards from the green, and hole # 7 the green was just redone and no grass on it. The course had you hitting back towards hole 6 on a temporary green ( we didn’t even attempt it). Usually this course is the best bargain for your money due to conditions and cost. I would wait till they get the course back in shape before you spend any money on greens fees. Hopefully that will be soon!
Course is a cow pasture
The course management needs to step up their game. It’s a 12 hole course. Yea, a twelve hole course. Tee boxes and greens are burned out. Fairways are mostly weeds. Two holes were under repair and they don’t even tell you when you’re checking in. There are much nicer courses in the area. Even at $30 for unlimited play, this course is overpriced.
When the course is in its best shape, it’s only mediocre.
Course on the way up
the course was really in good shape until the drought came followed by heavy rains that really damaged a lot of greens and tees. repair is under way but it take some time.
