Pictures are deceptive
If you pay full price it's too much but with a discount it's fair. Greens are in good shape, fairways not so much. Guess the drought has been tough. Tried to get a bite to eat in clubhouse after round (3pm) and everything was closed. Could just be the time of year.
Not what it used to be
We’re from Wisconsin and make a point to play this course every year, which made today’s round especially frustrating. The greens were in very good shape, but that’s where the positives ended.
The rest of the course was in extremely poor condition. Even when you hit the fairway, there was a good chance your ball wouldn’t be on grass. Large portions of multiple fairways were thin or completely bare—something you’d expect from a neglected municipal course, not one charging premium rates.
At $80 for an afternoon round—and up to $129 earlier in the day—this is simply not acceptable. The pricing is completely out of line with the conditions.
To make matters worse, we finished around 5:35 p.m., and the clubhouse was already closed, leaving no access to restrooms. That’s just poor customer service and an unacceptable way to end the round.
It’s a shame, because the layout itself is challenging and enjoyable. But until the conditioning improves, it’s hard to justify coming back at these prices.
Could be better
Nice layout, nice course but the bunkers need work and whoever designed the course went crazy putting fairway bunkers in; there’s way too many and should be filled in. Greenside bunkers need sand and more rakes. Overall layout is fair and pace was good.
Nice course
Nice layout in good condition. We played in 3 hours 45 minutes starting at 11:30.
Great Greens, Good Value
Twin Isles is in as good a condition as I can remember. I’ve been playing there once or twice a month for 6+ years. The greens are great, the tee boxes are very good and the fairways are good - a few bare spots here and there. Since all courses in the area charge $100 to $150, Twin Isles is a very good value in comparison to the available options.
Beautiful Course
We had a great day and played 18 holes. The course was in great shape and well worth the money.
Twin isles golf
It took 2.5 hours to play the front 9…. And we waited on every hole which can be frustrating. The group ahead of us left after 9 and pace was very good on back nine. Total 4.5 hours
The greens and tee boxes were excellent. The fairways were patchy in spots but not bad considering the drought we have had. The layout is pretty challenging with lots of water. Definately a course worth playing.
I would play it again😊
Nice Course.
Nice course, staff was friendly. Course was in very good shape.
It offered good risk reward options , but fair. There is nothing that stands out as unique or must see. That said there was not anything that stood out as not good.
So, overall a very solid selection for playing a course in very good condition with great pace of play not overly difficult. I would play it again
Decent Course
Greens were in great shape. Golf course grass overall was just ok and pretty dry. Course has a nice layout not a straight hole on the course. Sand traps are place very strategically in the fairways unfortunately the sand in them is terrible with small ricks and shells. New sand in the bunkers would improve the course immensely. Overall a decent course for the money in prime season.
A Great Hot Deal Value
The staff are all very friendly and professional. The small greens are good, but slow and should be faster. The tee boxes are fine. The fairways are worn with many bare spots. We rolled them out of bare spots anywhere and everywhere. The bunkers lacked sand, so chipping or chunk and run were the best options out of the bunkers to avoid hitting the hard pan below the thin sand layer.
I will be playing it again soon.
