Challenging layout
Played this course for the first time recently. Obtaining a cart was confusing. Once we had the cart, the starter was helpful in guiding us on where to go and access to the amenities. The course has many doglegs and sand bunkers to deal with and the fairways are long. Anticipate at least 4 hours to play a complete 18 hole round. The fairways were in reasonable condition with some bare spots; tee boxes were fine; greens had just been aerated and quite sandy.
The Proshop is clean and attendant was friendly and courteous. After our round, we enjoyed cocktails in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable.
I would recommend as a challenging yet not complicated course - would suggest that beginners avoid as might not be able to keep up to pace of play
Prices way too high
Having played this course more times than i can count, 70 is way way too much for offseason. The condition of the fairways makes this price too much for in season. Can’t justify paying 70 for this course. It’s very close to my house and is convenient but can’t play here until they adjust the price significantly
This course is fairly predictable. You hit a good straight shot and your gold.
Tee boxes in great shape. Fairways were in good condition. Greens were great condition.
Twin isles May 2026
Pace of play was good, but fairways need work. Greens were very good.
Poor. Fairways
Fairways in bad condition. Greens ok but very slow. Sand traps more like washed out gravel.
Green great shape
Great course good staff great layout good amenities
Worse course I’ve ever seen
This golf course is the worst I’ve ever played on. Hands down. I’d rather play on a better course for $40 less. The staff was incredibly rude, except for the cart man, who was a sweet old man. The golf carts were in terrible condition and seemed like they were about to break down. To make matters worse, I was put behind a group of four walkers who took an agonizing 40 minutes to complete a single hole. I did some research and it seems like the course was recently sold to new investors. It’s a shame because I remember this course being a 10/10 a year ago.
Pictures are deceptive
If you pay full price it's too much but with a discount it's fair. Greens are in good shape, fairways not so much. Guess the drought has been tough. Tried to get a bite to eat in clubhouse after round (3pm) and everything was closed. Could just be the time of year.
Not what it used to be
We’re from Wisconsin and make a point to play this course every year, which made today’s round especially frustrating. The greens were in very good shape, but that’s where the positives ended.
The rest of the course was in extremely poor condition. Even when you hit the fairway, there was a good chance your ball wouldn’t be on grass. Large portions of multiple fairways were thin or completely bare—something you’d expect from a neglected municipal course, not one charging premium rates.
At $80 for an afternoon round—and up to $129 earlier in the day—this is simply not acceptable. The pricing is completely out of line with the conditions.
To make matters worse, we finished around 5:35 p.m., and the clubhouse was already closed, leaving no access to restrooms. That’s just poor customer service and an unacceptable way to end the round.
It’s a shame, because the layout itself is challenging and enjoyable. But until the conditioning improves, it’s hard to justify coming back at these prices.
Could be better
Nice layout, nice course but the bunkers need work and whoever designed the course went crazy putting fairway bunkers in; there’s way too many and should be filled in. Greenside bunkers need sand and more rakes. Overall layout is fair and pace was good.
Nice course
Nice layout in good condition. We played in 3 hours 45 minutes starting at 11:30.
Great Greens, Good Value
Twin Isles is in as good a condition as I can remember. I’ve been playing there once or twice a month for 6+ years. The greens are great, the tee boxes are very good and the fairways are good - a few bare spots here and there. Since all courses in the area charge $100 to $150, Twin Isles is a very good value in comparison to the available options.
