Cow Pasture
Wow, cant imagine people pay to be a member here. This course is not even on the same scale as a municipal town run course. MGT should be ashamed of themselves. Guess the kitty has no money to spend on manicuring this place. Goes to show you how PG snowbirds simply don't care about quality. I was embarrassed to bring a guest here. Inside is so outdated too. Its just a shame both PG golf courses are cow pastures. Maintenance on both courses are bare bones minimum to get by. Its a grass cut and thats basically it. Overgrown with weeds and dead grass everywhere on both courses.
Avoid at all costs!
This is a sad golf course. The staff at this place are incredibly rude, the grounds are not well maintained and quite honestly the other golfers make this a miserable experience! I have never shared a course with other players as loud as I experienced here! Ridiculous amounts of yelling and screaming! It’s obscene and absurd. These supposed adults behaving like teenagers on spring break. No self control and no attempt to control by staff. I feel incredibly sorry for people who own homes along this course because management simply does not care how their club members behave! After speaking with a few others in town I know that my experience wasn’t an unusual one. Avoid, do something else...anything else!!!!
Challenging short course, in great condition!
I don’t know what St. Andrews south did in the last year but this course is in spectacular shape. It’s a bit sorter, but the way it is laid out is a challenge in its own right. The staff was friendly and the fairways and greens were groomed well.
Other reviews must be outdated
Had the pleasure of playing this course recently and it was in great condition. Short but challenging, the greens were in perfect condition and the fairways were all plush and fast.
Dead
Wow, greens were almost perfect. No one playing so speedy round in 2 hrs.
Everything else was dead. I feel so bad of the members. Practice area and chipping green completely dead. Granted no rain for the last 3-4 months but plenty of lakes. I think if they drained water down any future the sewer smell of black mud water would overwhelm home owners.
90% Burnt Out
Sorry to say, totally embarrassed this past weekend when i brought a guest to play 18. Found that most of the course was dead/burnt out except for the greens. Ive played better muni courses. Granted it has NOT rained in months but other area courses are able to water their tee boxes, fairways and greens. The chipping area appeared dead. Not sure whats going on but it was obvious they have major issue with sprinklers and lakes/ponds. i felt so sorry for members that have to play during their winter month retirement stay.
