Great Executive Course
The team at Hamptons Golf are always very welcoming and helpful. Some of the holes on the course are quite tight and can be challenging.
Great time
This course is a short (11 3's 8 4'),vary great 👍 for seniors and short hitters.
Great pace of play
We had a 1:00 pm tee time and were able to tee off early. Never saw another group the whole round. Staff was very friendly and were waiting with a cart ready when we pulled up. The conditions were overall good. Greens were in great shape. Some of the tee boxes were a little sparse, but most were good. Will definitely play here again.
Good practice course
The greens are pretty rough and they were watering while I was there and the water smelled like sewage. Wasn't the most pleasant experience. I like the course it's fairly easy and you can really practice with your irons. For the price it is decent, but it's not the most well kept course.
Still a great short game tune up
If you don't know, this is, sort of, an Executive 18. But, don't let that fool you, with water (mostly lateral) in play on almost every hole, and small but contoured greens and a few tight fairways, the course demands precise shots or good recoveries. If you want to work on your short game, this is the place to do it. Reasonable prices (including after the round), a course in good condition, and a shot makers course. It doesn't get much better.
I'm also one who likes a steady pace of play. Especially on a course with a lot of par 3s it's easy to get stacked up, I've never had that issue here. I've played with groups that the marshall has asked to pick up the pace, and I appreciate a well marshalled course because it is in the interest of all the golfers.
Well kept and nice staff.
Nice place, just a little too tight for me, and the grill was closed for a private party right at lunch time. Seems like poor timing for a Saturday afternoon.
Has great potential.
Only criticism I have is the tee boxes were in very bad shape. I couldn’t swing without losing my footing.
Small but fun
Course is a par 3 course so you definitely have some fun! Course condition was ok, with the greens being somewhat not finished. It is early in the season.
Great Place To Play
Everyone at Hamptons Golf Club is always friendly and very helpful. The course was in great condition and it is always a really nice environment to play in. Highly recommended.
Still a fun and challenging course
This course is a little out of the way for me, with about an hour drive, but, when they have good rates it's worth the drive. Don't let the length deceive you. With water potentially in play (lateral or forced carry) on almost every hole, this course demands shot making. The greens are also firm and fast which forces you to control your trajectory to hold them. It's a fun test with a lot of focus on medium to short irons (just the things you need to score on anything longer). The nineteenth hole is also pleasant, and nicely priced.
Nice par 3 course it was a fun course. A good challenge for your irons. Plenty of dog legs and water
Cost per person has increased, a little too much for a par 3 course.
