Golfer Reviews
Roachy
Nice course for the money. Greens ran true. Just not enough challenge. It felt like each hole just repeated itself. No water throughout course. Nor did the bunkers placement had challenges
Pinecrest on a cool January day
Pinecrest continues to have some best kept greens in Highlands County.
We played on a cooler day, just before noon, and zoomed around just under 3hrs.
Worth the trip
First time playing this beautiful golf course. Fairways and greens are impeccable. Definitely a repeat.
GREAT TRACK
Just moved to florida played this course twice now best greens i have putted on yet down here. Gooooood layout. U want to play this course if u anywhere near here 📬☮️🌴⛳️
Great course and great staff
Love the course and the staff are always helpful and friendly.
Underrated interior-Florida golf
Pinecrest is one of a handful of courses that erroneously claims to have been designed by Donald Ross, when the reality is actually more interesting. It was laid out by Bertie Way, who was responsible for the original courses at Firestone in Ohio. Despite a stunningly narrow yardage range for the par 4s, Pinecrest gives some nice variety as a result of the elevation changes one encounters throughout the course. A standout hole is the par-5 6th, which plays though orange groves.
Pinecrest is a bit off the beaten path, but visiting golfers are likely to find it worthwhile not just because of the charming course but the warm welcome provided by the staff, especially Kay, whose title is “Director of First Impressions.”
2nd time
First time here after hurricane. Only issue was no beverage cart on course today and price for a 6 pack was kinda wild but conditions and layout were spot on! Will 100% be back!
GREAT GOLF COURSES
Nice golf courses, some challenging holes. The greens were very nice, a little bit fast. Nice reception at the club house. Lot of fresh water on the course.

Very nice place to play
Kitchen is the best
Great Donald Ross course
First time playing this course I was really looking forward to it and it didn’t disappoint the course was immaculate fairways and greens .its a typical DR layout with elevated green’s which were perfect there was plenty of fairway space just make sure you hit them . Plenty of tee boxes to choose from to challenge your game . The staff in the pro shop were great and very knowledgeable and friendly didn’t have a chance to check out the restaurant afterwards but heard it is good . I recommend this course and will definitely be going back
