greens are shot
Tees were spotty. Fairways were decent. Greens were shot. It will take a long time, if ever if I return to this venue.
Poor Green Conditions
The greens particularly the front nine were in atrocious shape. The fairway and tee box conditions were also poor on a few holes. Otherwise the course has a nice layout
won't come back
greens had more sand than grass, fairways very spotty and rough, hope the course eventually gets better
Nice layout
Some fairways were very rough. Not much traffic. Hilly with some doglegs. Very dry, but being worked on.
No longer called Pine Ridge
The course name was changed in January to Highland Hills Country Club.
This course was in pretty good shape, much better than it once was. The fairways were narrow so keeping the ball in the short grass was the way to go. The greens were for the most part in nice shape, but cut high so putts were rolling slow.
All in all I intend to playing this course again soon.
Terrible Course
This course has a nice layout, but has been severely neglected. Even though the back 9 was closed for months, it is in awful condition. The greens "might" be pretty good in another month or two, but the greens are the only areas where there is any grass on the entire course! The course personnel were about as unfriendly as possible. We paid $15+fees and all four of us felt we were grossly overcharged, and will not play this course again.
Suggestions
The course greens are in great shape, although the fairways and in their winter state. The price was too high considering other courses. Therefore, there was virtually noone playing. Lower the price by $5. would help fill the course.
Coming Back
The course had some issues for the last year, but clearly is coming back to its old self. The fairways were green and thickening. The rough, well, was rough. If you miss the fairway, you won't likely have a good lie in any significant grass. The greens were not difficult because the grass was left long to preserve it hence the greens ran slow. The greens were nearly all filled in, a couple of dry patches here and there but never a concern with the way the holes were positioned. Overall, a good value for the golf now rate of $16 plus fees. I would not pay the full rate as courses in the neighborhood are the same price and are in better condition. A fair price is $25 for the course but the going rate was a little higher.
Keep it in the fairway to score for sure.
Haen't played here in year. Won't be back.
They lost the back 9 a year ago and have tried to fix it. We have seen notices and recieved emails saying it was open and in great shape.
That is not true. The greens are terrible, too many bald spots won't roll true.
If you like tight lies ,you will like this course. There is so much bare dirt that is very hard to use your clubs bounce to make good shots and get any spin on the ball.
What an Improvement
Wow. Even though we had to play the front side twice, Pine Ridge is vastly improved and a pleasure to play. Can't wait to try the back side.
hilly
Course was in decent condition compared to other area courses. Very vice layout. Only complaint was the greens were not cut recently.
Putting was very slow, and unpredictable.
Minor problem. We had a great time, would go back anytime.
Just say no to this course
Worst course i ever played, greens were one inch long with groves cut all across them. I will never play this course again
tough staff
Would not let you go, even if no one playing until your time is up.
Pray for rain
This track needs some water. The greens were thick, unusual for the area. The fairways had many parched areas, and was bare off the fairway itself. They are better courses in the area for the money
The course was in good shape.
The greens and tee boxes were in fine shape. It is a dry time so the fairways were decent for the period.
Foot golf
What will they think of next We have a new kind of golf called FOOT GOLF. You kick the ball with your foot. Great web site went bad
Got to swing clubs
Course has a nice layout and the price was good, The
fairways and greens need a lot of work.
Nice and quiet course
Fairways ok, greens ok but a little slow .
Few people on the course, which was nice.
When checking in staff required printed confirmation of the booking.
Thats not easy as a tourist not bringing a printer, and the requirement is not mentioned in the terms for booking the teetime.
Thats not good enough !!
Good layout and elevation changes
overall, the course was interesting. Had maintenance staff working on the irrigation systems and Tee-blocks. The greens were in good shape but very slow.
Golf Now always tell you to bring a copy. You could have showed it on your smartphone, if you have one.
