Greens are Horrible, Horrible, Horrible.
Course from the tees up to the greens are good. The greens are in horrible condition. Dead dried up dirt spots with patches every where. If they get the greens back it would be a 4 star course. Right now it is 2 stars at best. I paid way to much for this one. $32.00 per player even in the winter was a waste of money. It is a shame they act like nothing is wrong with the course and let you find out on your own how bad a shape their greens are. Golf Now needs to have reviews available for all courses advertised.
Green are very poor
Played yesterday greens are in terrible condition. Lots of sand and bare spots. The greens will take long time to come back to be in playable condition.
Bunkers are in poor condition also.
Moderately challenging but fun
It was a great day. Did not have to wait to get started but felt a little pushed. Scheduled too close together. The was in good shape except for the greens being a little rough. We could see work being done to improve them. We played 18 holes and lost 2 balls.
What a disappointment
I've played this course several times and enjoyed it from top to bottom. Today's experience was terrible. The greens were a total joke--apparently mismanaged and handled badly. Don't waste your time buying food there--the service was terrible and the food was over priced ($10 for a poorly cooked small burger and a drink) This course is apparently under new management and the experience leaves a lot to be desired. Fairways were good.
Poor Greens
Booking the tee time was easy and I started the round on time.
The fairways were in decent condition but almost every green was in very bad shape. You could see that effort is being made to restore some of them but others will take a long time.
Very bad greens
Very disappointed in the greens. Most were 50% under repair. There was one Temporary green without warning until you were along side. I will not play again.
Average with a ton of potential
It was my first time playing the course. I enjoyed it but the greens were in very bad shape and the fairways were just ok...to be fair though it had just rained an enormous amount so some areas were flooded but other areas drained very well...definitely some interesting holes. Made my first eagle ever on one of their par 5's I'm a newer golfer 13 handicap and thought only paying $11 for a hot deal made it worth it. Would not pay $30 or more for 18 holes until the greens are completely fixed and fairways more nurtured.
excellent potencial
This was the first round here for me and I was pleasantly surprised by the course. Nice and undulating throughout the course with the back nine that was all natural. The greens weren't good but the had aerated a week prior so in a few weeks should be good . The rest of the maintenance was good.
Twisted Oaks, Beverly Hills, FL.
Twisted Oaks is a somewhat challenging course with a nice layout for all levels of players. The staff is friendly & we were fortunate enough to have a wonderful day to play. I would recommend this course & our group intends to play it again.
course has beautiful fairways
nice condition some scenic views new carts with raincovers
Course was ok greens are rough
Have played the course many times in the last few years. The fairways are really good and the changes have made the course easier.
The greens are really bare and bumpy on some holes.
Hard to putt on. Other holes are good.
I would not pay full price for course. There are other courses in the area that are just as nice ,but cheaper.
Booked on Golfnow and played for $ 20.00 otherwise would not play there until greens are fixed.
Twisted Oaks is back!
Played over a year ago and took it off my list. In terrible shape. But what a difference a year makes. New owner, new attitude, huge improvement. It was always a nice layout, but was in desperate need of some serious TLC. The new owner has done just that. The course is in great shape and the facilities are substantially spruced up. Great value for the money. If you haven't played Twisted Oaks lately, do yourself a favor - if you can get a tee time. The secret is getting out.
Great Course for Citrus Springs area
A very nice course layout with some great landscaping. Price was reasonable and beer, well drinks and food fairly priced.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Would recommend this course for anytime golf or membership.
Fabulous Course
Have always loved this course, but the last couple years it has not been in the best shape. Not so today, it was wonderful! The fairways are plush, tee boxes & greens were great. Love all the elevation changes & the beautiful layout of this course!
very nice course
great course fairways and greens were in very nice condition a lot of testing holes i meen you will do better to put your drives in the right spot generous fairways par threes were nice not to mention the hole in one i had on the fourth hole.overall very nice.
Very nice conditions
Very enjoyable course to play and the conditions were very nice. Excellent fairways and very good greens. Very fair price for golf in Florida during the winter
Nice fairways
So far this is the best course conditions we have played. The fairways were in great shape, as were the greens. Lots of undulating fairways, and doglegs. Very nice. Highly recommend this course. The food and drinks were very good.
Twisted Oaks review
