About
Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

Always a decent experience.
This course is always in decent shape and the staff is friendly. The layout is quite basic but worth playing given the good conditions.
Very nice public course
I had a great day. Nice course and good pace. The greens were challenging but good condition.
Great spot to play last minute
This is my go to spot to play last minute. I’m not a great golfer and the course is great for people learning the game and those that haven’t played a lot. It is still challenging but not frustrating. They always have good deals to play last minute and it’s a nice course.

Been playing here for years. Very consistent and always well maintained.
Very pleased
Played this course about a year ago and we were very pleased with everything here this time.. Found tee boxes, fairways and greens in condition that satisfied us. Also enjoyed playing with 2 gentlemen that we were paired with. Being snowbirds will definitely return. Staff was also very friendly and helpful
Good Day at Southwinds
The course is in good condition. However, the fairway close to the greens are too hard making it difficult to chip the ball.
Southwinds review 12,750 to 1
Southwinds was great on April 8, 2022.. The sun was out with a light breeze . Was shooting close to par and something amazing happened. On the 17th hole I teed up at the green tees, pulled out my six-iron teed swung away. Off the ball goes high into the air onto the green and rolls back 12 inches in the hole for a hole in one!!
The crowd went wild and so did I!!! My cart partner, two random older gentlemen and two employees witness the shot.
It was amazing! 151 yards out and got a hole in one. A 12,750 chance to 1. What a day, what a day!

The course is we'll maintained. There are a couple holes which are insanely illogical. Like hole 13. 90 degree dog leg left with a wall trees on the left from the tee box. Forcing you no choice to hit chip shot lay up. Really stupid in my opinion. Several holes, are so close to the driving range that too many balls get hit on to the playing field making it distracting and annoying. In addition, there are way to many holes with water cutting across the fairway making it nearly impossible counter if you're not a strong hitter.
Nice course
Course is in good shape with some tight fairways and water in play in almost all holes. Played from the gold's which is the longest tee box's at about 6000 yards.
