Hidden Valley Lake Golf Course

The best course around , best greens around should pay the course superintendent more so you don’t lose him

As usual it was a pleasure to play, I keep noticing the improvements that they continually make on the course. It’s a pleasure to play here, I sometimes play as much is three times a week.

Hidden Valley is one of the best courses in Nor Cal , greens are fast and smooth, the course is in great shape compared to couple years ago ,they have made improvements all around the course ,some of tee boxes are even level know but still needs improvements on some tee boxes

Could use more inventory selection in Pro Shop

but over all great course

I play this course quite frequently, and I always have an enjoyable around. The front nine is relatively straight, but challenging nevertheless; the back nine I find to be a little bit more challenging as the course meander through the hills. It’s always a little warm in the summer, but it doesn’t interfere with my enjoyment.

The people who work in the pro shop, always go out of their way to be friendly and help you in anyway shape or form. It’s a pleasure to do business with them.

The course was well taken care of and there's nice clubhouse with good food and drinks.

Fun and easy to play. But if you are not white it’s not the friendly place to go.

There is a group of five players in front of me with no respect to other players, no professional ethic on the

golf course. I was with them on the tee box from fifth

hole and choose to ignore and not let me thru. I have wasted at least 30-45 minutes waiting. I finally decided to skip hole 8, just to get thru them.

The course is always in great condition and with the new carts . What a bargain!

It is a good course that doesn't beat you up.

It has its challenges but is fair if your game is not 100%

Hidden valley is making great improvements on this golf course, as someone who plays it frequently. I’m very impressed in the condition and the ideas that are coming soon. A great bunch of people from the pro shop to the talented green keepers. Always a pleasure regardless, of score.

Hidden Valley has several challenging holes, in addition to some holes that are somewhat easy. They make good use of the terrain and have several holes that have elevation changes in addition to creeks on some holes. Good course to play before the hot summer weather sets in.

It was a magical day out in hidden Valley golf course. The greens were aerated about two weeks ago the back nine greens were in a little bit better shape then the front because they started a day earlier. It’s a great layout first nine is beautiful, no hills still fun and challenging. The back nine is completely different with hills, more challenging than the front, stunning views; a green that you can’t see from a hilltop tee. The staff at Hidden valley are all incredibly polite and professional golf lovers. The golf course is always very playable.and in good shape.

Course is great. Staff is great. The long winter has left some wet spots but they will dry out. A great time was had.

Wide fairways, a few funky holes and a good greens means an enjoyable golf outing. With all of the rain we’ve had lately I was pleasantly surprised at how well the course handled it. Greens were firm and fair. Unfortunately played it after they had a tournament so the pins were in weir positions. I’ll definitely be back to see the normal pin positions and hopefully have a better score.

Felt like it rained 40 days and 40 nights up until two days ago. I was so excited to get out and play, that I forgot my golf shoes. Thought it was going to be a disaster and figured at some point I get one of my shoes sucked off in the mud. Much to my surprise the course wasn’t bad at all, and the greens were great. I have no doubt that in a week or two the conditions will be absolutely great again. Looking forward to getting out here again. Always enjoy this track.

Minuses: An unavoidable part of playing the front nine is the general poverty that abuts the course, which may or may not bother you. I did not find enjoyable walking by someone's backyard/ front yard filled with junk.

Pluses: For an inexpensive muni, the greens were in great shape, the fairways decent, and bunkers showed signs of care. The surrounding environment improves on the back nine. Holes 12 and 13 are gorgeous. Still, the overall experience is not something I'll do again or recommend to someone.

This course is in a very warm area in the summer but the course was in great shape and most of the grass was green and looking good. Front 9 is mostly flat but the back 9 has lots of slope and requires planning on most holes to have a chance to get on in regulation.
