Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers tennis and bocce courts, a fitness center, and 27 of the most picturesque holes in southwest Florida. The holes are divided into three nines: the North, South, and East; that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The East/North Course combines the longest nine and the shortest nine. Towering pines and palms as well as mature oak trees cover the entire course. Almost just as abundant is the water, which makes an appearance on almost all of the club's holes. The golf course begins with one of the few holes at the club where water doesn't come into play. Although trees line both sides of the fairway on this dogleg right par 4, the landing area off the tee is generous.

It took us 3 1/2 hours to play nine holes. We paid for 18 started at 3:45 no one’s at clubhouse to give us at least a rain check for the other nine back to back crazy no Ranger to make people move.
Worst nine we’ve ever played and we’ve been playing for 30 years
Great Staff
Staff is always very friendly and kind. Course in pretty good shape….not as good as some but better than most. I always enjoy playing here when I am in town.
Windy but pleasant
Course winds through the development so quite a few holes are tight and water is in play on many holes.

Late afternoon round
Made a 3 PM discounted tee time as a single and was finished with 18 holes by 5:40 PM.
The course is in good shape, and the north course is especially nice. Firm greens with a good roll. It’s a decent value relative to some other courses in the price range.
A lot of water here, short holes, and not very forgiving — so hit em straight!
Enjoyable Experience
Nice course layout…not terribly long…plenty of tee box options.
Friendly staff…will definitely return.

Course is overall a good place to play, the course could use some maintenance in spots. The staff is very nice overall a good course for the price to play.
Beware of the Turn
Booked first tee time of the day as a twosome. I didn’t do my homework and noticed when we got there Spanish Wells is a 27 hole course. Thinking it was 18 holes, my 85 year dad and I could enjoy early relaxing and fairly quick round. Front was just that. As we made the turn things slowed to a halt. 3 groups were in front of us waiting. I guess it’s my fault for assuming that we would still be the first group out playing the back. Paying $119 per person if fine with me if I know what to expect. This was unexpected. I feel we didn’t get what was payed for. There are plenty of nicer courses for less. Ibis Landing, $99. The National at Ave Maria $89. And even San Carlos, $89. Any day playing with your dad is a great day…But this seemed Busch League.
Very pleased with the day
Look forward to playing SW again as it presented challenges for me. The 3 nine hole courses ensure variability.
Really enjoyed the day.
Lunch at the pub was good as well.
