I do love all the ducks. I just feel bad bc this course attract a lot of beginners, and I have literally seen a player whack a ball straight at one of the ducks who I definitely don’t they made it to see another day Photo submitted by Chupapi7 on 03/20/2023

good course
Had fun playing this course. Some challenging holes. Will be back
Great value
Fun course for learners or just not up to a regulation size 18. Can be slow, but not always. Definitely walkable.
great course
green is getting better fair way also is getting soft tee box is good
Costa Del Sol
The course is okay, its an executive layout the fairways are in decent shape and the greens where pretty good. Its a decent cheap round of golf. Typical of any American Golf Public course they don't spend a lot of money to maintain the public courses and its pretty obvious. They do not have any place to warm up other than a putting green which is always a negative, a few nets would be better than nothing. I would certainly not pay more than $30 to play this course with cart.
Great value !
The course was in good condition. We followed after a tournament so a little slow on play. Overall we had a great day. I look forward to coming back.
Good practice
It is a great course to practice your irons. the greens on the front 9 need help but the back nine got much better. The pace of play was very slow due to golfers just beginning. Nice lay out and will punish you if you don't focus on your shots.
Decent course; Awful management
My husband just started golfing. After a few lessons, and three rounds at the local pitch & putt, I thought this course would be a step up for him. I made a reservation through this site and was charged a deposit. When we showed-up, they overcharged us (they didn't deduct the deposit). They seemingly instructed us to the back nine. When we got in our cart and started out that way, the marshal came after us and told us nobody could play the back nine because there was a tournament. Then there were issues over whom we were to be paired with. They assigned, then re-assigned four times. They kept using the term "back niner" which led us to believe we were to go to the back nine, then finally they marshal told us that was the term they used for "Saturday morning golfer". When we returned with the cart, there was nobody there to direct us. The "Return Cart" sign was turned around BACKWARDS so you couldn't see it. Bottom line - this was an extremely bad experience for my husband and it's unlikely we will return... except to complain about their awful management and to get our $7.90 back. Another friend of mine said he had a very bad experience here too and would never return, so I don't think this was an isolated experience.
Best place for entry players and elders.
Goog landscape. Excellent course to practice irons. Although you are aggressive player, some holes can sink your ball.
Good time very fun course
This is a very fun course to play I had a great time an even had a great score at the end of it will diffidently be going back!
a fair Challenge for all
Casta Del Sol is and always has been a great place to come and work on your game. It will challenge the good players with an abundance of medium to long par threes. This executive course has the feel of a big course mostly because on almost all the holes your shots are required to carry the proper distance. As a little bit better than average player, I like to come here to work on my iron game and this course keeps the pressure on you with many challenging tee shots. Be prepared however, rounds may take a while here with so many short holes there can be a lot of waiting
Good local course for pratice
I play here 2 to 4 times per week. Golfnow pricing is probably the best for this area. The course is in really good shape, they punched half side greens in the last two weeks so one side is in good shape. The fairways are still in decent shape, but starting to spot brown in places, its been in the 90's so its expected.
Fun, Fun, Fun!
Course was in great shape. Lot's of chances for Birdies. The birds loved my hot dog. Go for the Green in one on 10. Love to come back.
Great Greens
What I like about Casta Del Sol is the fact you'll use every club in your bag. A great test of all shots.
Greens are exeptional as good as most full size above average courses.
Sloooow
Took 4.5hrs to play 18, when it should probably take 3.5. Two groups in front were complete hacks and played at a snails pace and staff did nothing about it, despite our requests. Greens aren't the greatest, making it hard to putt. Not a bad course for the price, but bring a few extra beers, because you may be waiting around a bit.
Great Short Game Tune Up Spot
For those who haven't been to Casta Del Sol, it is an 18 hole "executive course," one of Ted Robinson's original designs from the 1960s. This is a difficult easy course; the course boasts only five par 4s, but it has the hardest par 3 in OC, in the 18th hole, a 227 yard punt over a stream with water left, bunders left and right of the green, and a ravine/water course running down the left side. Water plays a part in about half the holes on the front, and most of the holes on the back. It's an 'easy course' if you're use to playing Shorecliffs or Arroyo Trabuco,, but I bet you don't break par!
Good practice course
Very nice I'm happy shot -1 , greens excellent condition . Love to go back and played more . Highly recommendable , for the cost to played and the course condition very good
Great course
This course is in good shape, greens were nice. It can be a nightmare on the weekends because of the families and beginning golfers on the course. We played on Monday at 10:22 and got through in under 4 hours. If you can hit it straight off the tee you will have a great time here. No need to bring a drive, maybe a 3 wood on a couple holes.
Had a great time
Good course
I like to play this course. Good play fee. I always looking for good deal price.
great price great course
Was able to book 18 holes for 16 .50 great course to work on my short game. Will come bck
Crowded and SLOW
Course crams too many groups in too tight. Waited on every hole for one to two groups, twosomes, threesomes, foursomes even a group of 6 with 4 walking. No course rangers with control, no spacing off first tee, Twosomes not playing together - remaining separate. This is a short, par 60 course that took over 5 hours to play!
Really?
