Oso Creek Golf Course

Course crams too many groups in too tight. Waited on every hole for one to two groups, twosomes, threesomes, foursomes even a group of 6 with 4 walking. No course rangers with control, no spacing off first tee, Twosomes not playing together - remaining separate. This is a short, par 60 course that took over 5 hours to play!
Really?

Greens were rolling great. Challenging pin positions made what should be an easy coarse into some what of a challenge. Would recommend a round there.

This course is fun and challenging. The greens are usually fast and depending on the pin placement, reading the break and the speed presents problems. The ninth and eighteenth are the toughest holes with the drainage ditch just waiting to collect under struck shots. A great value, especially if you walk.

Keep your expectations in check and you will have fun. Fun course for new golfers and juniors.

Great course to practice irons n short game but the slow pace of play is like watching grass grow! Staff in pro shop are old like players on the course! Play 9 at lake forest next time

The course staff is punching and sanding the greens as well as thatching the tee boxes. Otherwise the course was in good condition.

The tee times were so backed up on 9/2/13, our group left the course after the 9th hole which took 3 1/2 hours to a get to.

Our tee time was 8:15, we teed off at 8:50.

Was a nice place to play before because of the speed, seems like they are overbooking tee times now.

Course is well-maintained and is great for a beginner as well as the more experienced player. Accuracy is important as some fairways are quite narrow with OB and some water hazards. Bunkers were in excellent condition. No driving range -- which is a drawback.

THE GREENS ARE IN HORRIBLE CONDITION, NO ONE FIXES THEIR BALL MARKS. The pace is very slow, and the dress code is not enforced.

Felt like there were a lot of people on the course. The tee times were backed up and there were groups of 5 on the course that seemed to slow things down.

Usually it would only take about 3 to 3 1/5 hrs for a round of golf on this cource. Lately it is taking longer.

I golfed the prior Thursday and ended up leaving after 9 holes due to the amount of time it was taking and there were again more than one group of 5 ahead.

Get there and play, and enjoy the day..!!! RELAX and keep comming back.

Normal course for the price but Darryl the general manager is as rude as can be.

The staff either are ablivious, golf-uneducated, don't care or simply indifferent to how to manage the golf tee times!!
They start you out on no.1 and when you turn, they start people on both nines. Including fivesomes that are beginners!
We have played there four times the last two months and nothing has changed!
America Golf needs to fire all the starters and hire new ones!!!

It was a crowded day at Casta del Sol, yet after the first couple of par three holes movement was steady for the rest f the afternoon.
Casta is a great spot for the occasional golfer or, as my age indicates, the declining golfer.
Golf is always great, but the cold beer offered at the course bar, priceless.

Although the course can get very busy, during our round the pace was good. My major complaint is the greens are full of un-repaired divots which I attribute to the many teens that play this course. The rest of the course is in good shape. Golf attire is not enforced, but nothing outrageous.

This course is great and the staff was super cool and helpful. We played Sunday Aug. 4th at 1230pm and really only waited a short time on a few holes... Greens were well kept and fairways were in decent condition considering i was out there hacking away... If your a golf course snob it might not play long enough for you as there are no par 5's but it is still a fun course for everyone to have a good time...

Used to play Casta Del Sol more frequently, but haven't in some years. Pleasantly surprised as to the present condition. Greens especially seem to be in superb shape (sure wish players would fix ball marks). For an "executive-style" course, a very nice play.

Nice but a bit overpriced for the amenities. The desk staff has gotten friendlier.

Greens were awesome...loved the way the ball rolled...the sides of the fairways needed attention...also need stops in the drains so you can get your ball back...especially on 9 ..my partner drove the drainage and lost his ball...not good. maintaining the fairways and tee boxes are super important...overall a nice executive course...

Not bad course, just slow pace. could have scheduled a better pace from the tee box
