About
The 27 holes at Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club sprawl through a landscape of swaying palms, towering pines, and mature live oaks. Located in Bonita Springs, the club offers some of the most scenic holes in southwest Florida. The numerous water features are difficult to ignore, coming into play on almost every one of the club's holes. The holes are played in three 18-hole combinations. The South/North golf course is a challenging but fair layout that features strategically placed bunkers and several doglegs. The club's signature hole is the North nine's second. This scenic par 3 plays to a well protected green that features a bunker on the right, and out-of-bounds to the left. In addition to the three golf courses there is a practice facility with a driving range, pitching and chipping areas, and two large putting greens.

Where is the green; where is the trouble; where is my target
I thought the course layout was terrible golfers playing the course the first time or infrequently. Too many holes multiple doglegs with no idea of the distance you needed to hit for a reasonable next shot. This was especially true of the North course. The guys we were paired up with quit after 11 holes out of frustration.
Nice Loop; good conditions, friendly people
Played Spanish Wells for the first time with my son-in-law.
It was a very quiet Monday and we were finished in 3h 10 minutes playing at a comfortable pace.
They have 3 x 9 holes at Spanish Wells, and our loop was North to South. Lots of water all around. You must play "target golf" as there are several sharp (even hook-shaped) dog-legs. 5 irons and wedges will serve you well.
We found the North course very enjoyable and challenging. The South course feels very much like a public course, with lots of wide-open views, and relatively flat fairways. The greens (while small) seem slightly bigger on South compared to North.
I certainly would play there again, but maybe this time from the Blues (we played mixed Blue/White) or perhaps even Gold to increase the challenge.

Greens rolled true. Not a fan of the layout. Many short doglegs.
Great golf course
Great greens. Over all aspect of all holes we played were in great condition and well manicured. Highly recommend
Spanish Wells (9/4/2021)
So much rain that they closed the North course and the South course had just been aerated. That left us the East Course with some of the craziest hole layouts. But it was is solid condition with very little water. This is a course with some tight fairways, tricky doglegs and lots of blond holes. Play with a member to learn about it. Greens were moving fast and the pace of play early Saturday morning was fast! I like this place.
Single Player
The course was in good shape and though it was hot they have convenient water and restroom locatiions. I do believe since they have 3 9-hole courses there could be improved signage about where to go from the check in spot, for those that have been there only a time or two.
Well manicured course
Although the course is well manicured but the drainage is not adequate.
