South/North at Spanish Wells Country Club

A wonderful club with 3 interesting and challenging 9s.

Condition is great with very fast greens.

Lots of water in play on most holes.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Would recommend to all.

I played this course many times and this is the worst condition I’ve seen. The fairways were soggy, and it hadn’t rained for a week. Very hard but soggy greens, and there were all kinds of imperfections in the green. It even seemed like when the holes were cut, they were lifted up in a way that created a crown away from the hole.

I’m sure it was just an anomaly and it will be corrected soon.

When we reached the turn, we were informed that one of the nines was closed for course maintenance. This resulted in a backup and delay at the start of the back nine. I left without finishing.

Decent course. have played it 5 times and twice I have walked off because of slow play. See marshals out there but they do nothing to speed up pace of play. That just encourages people to play slow. There are a plethora of other places to play that are nicer courses, why do I want to wait all day for an average course?

I have played Spanish Wells a number of times at this time if the year, However, I found the course to be in much better condition. There was no over seeding of the fairways, and the greens were running at 11. Overall the course was in top shape. Truly enjoyed my round.

Played South/East..a little disappointed in some areas soggy and soft..a few holes cart path only..if you can grab this for $50 it's a decent value this time of the season
