About
Westchester Golf & County Club in Boynton Beach is conveniently located just minutes from the ocean. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf as well as a sporty 18-hole, par-3 course that is great for practice. Karl Litten, a well known name in south Florida golf, designed all of the holes. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The golf courses enjoy warm ocean breezes as well as an abundance of lush vegetation that is unique to southern Florida. The Blue/Gold combination has a classic layout that is player friendly enough for beginners but also offers challenges for the low handicapper. Like most traditional Florida golf courses, water comes into play several times. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers around the greens.

Lots of dog legs...fun layout. However....
Overall, Westchester is a fun course to play provided that you play the correct tees for your ability level. There are numerous dog legs that require picking your line to traverse lakes. I happen to enjoy those types of holes. The one thing that was VERY disappointing was that when I called I asked about the greens. The gentleman said that the greens were aerated a few weeks ago, but they were putting very well. When I got to the course I asked the starter the same question.. he said I would enjoy the greens. Now, I don't know if these guys get to play other golf courses, but these greens were in horrible shape. There were VERY slow, very bumpy and irregular. It wasn't your typical recovery from aeration.. That would have been acceptable given what I was told. It got so bad that the last 4 holes I took an automatic 2 putt for my score, because it wasn't worth messing up my stroke. I would have appreciated the staff telling me the true condition of the greens. If the greens come back, this would be a very enjoyable course to play at the golfnow price. I wouldn't pay premium price in season for this golf course.. Not with the choices that exist in Palm Beach County
Good Course 3 nines red and gold favorites
Like the course. Good shape pretty layout and well maintained. Play it frequently. Good value through Golf Now.
It has been better
I last played this course in March '13 and the summer has taken its toll ! Yes they have airated(sp) the greens in the last week, but the fairways are dry and the 4th fairway on the red course was a tire track course. If it should be cart path only then so be it ! I really like playing here I like how wide open the course is. I played the Blue Course much better than last time. I will play again just hope its in better shape next time.
